Chapter 1

Toya's POV

It was a Tuesday morning , I really didn't feel like getting out of bed . I was so worn out from last night .

Tiny had a birthday party for Tip .

And let's just say , I got a little out of hand with the drinks lol .

I turned over and looked at my phone . The time was 8:56 .

Dammit !

I was late for my publishing meeting .

I hurried out of bed , did my daily hygiene and got dressed . I rushed down stairs to see Reginae and Reign eating breakfast .

" I see no one thought to wake me up ."

" Sorry momma , Reign was hungry but I didn't think you wanted to be woken up " Reginae said .

" Well i've gotta go , i'm late for my publishing meeting ."

I walked out the house and to my car . I started it and turned on my favorite song . My First Love by Avant . If only I had someone to think about whenever I heard that song .

I've always had a hard time with love for some reason .  Ever since Wayne and I divorced , I haven't been able to let my guard down for anyone .

It was just something I couldn't let go of . Like a piece of me was still with Wayne .

I snapped out of my thoughts as I pulled up to the building .

I was so damn tired . I just sat in the car debating if I should just turn around and go home .

I turned my car off and headed into the building . I walked to the desk and asked for Kelly Rowland . She was who I had the meeting with .

The lady from behind the desk led me to Kelly's office .

" Thank you sweetie " I said .

" Hi Miss Wright , how are you this morning ? "

" Fine " , I answered ," Sorry i'm so late ."

" Oh it's fine , have a seat . "

As she started talking my mind wandered off . I couldn't help but think about Wayne . It's just like i was stuck on him .

Every time I thought I could open up to someone and be happy , I think of all the times we had together . All the things we could've been . The family that we could've had .

" Miss Wright are you with me ? "

I shook my head , " Yes , i'm sorry . "

" Ok , I just need you to sign here and we'll be set ."

I signed the paper and exited the room .

I walked out of the building and headed to my car . I felt my phone vibrate .

Tiny💕  : Lunch at 11 ?

Toya : Yea sure . OLG ?

Tiny💕 : ok , i'll meet you there 😘

I put my phone back into my purse and started to drive home .

I really think all of the chapters are gonna be this short . I honestly don't know 😭
