The impish athlete on the track,
nothing can stop her from fulfilling her ambition.
The past binds her to no avail, the future cannot make a dent in her radiant personality.
Driving rain, the blistering weather, the gales of a tempest,
nothing will not stop her from training her limbs to move as fast as they can.
Perfect as she may seems, she is afraid of loss, of rejection,
as she learned all too soon, "forever" is never a possibility.
Yet she carries her head up, her pride unfazed from the wreck.
Indeed, she is the fastest thing with no legs, both literally and metaphorically.
