the doctor paused. I squeezed my cousin's hand. I know what was coming after I heard the shots and screaming, I knew they were dead
"I'm so sorry, there gone"
I didn't do anything. I just stared. In shock. Even though I'd accepted the fact they were dead. I wasn't ready.
I thought I could keep it together. Morley hoped. That lasted five seconds.
The tears started falling down my face like a water fall as I broke. They were gone. My mom, my dad. Gone. Forever. Just two people. Gone. Never to come back.
Never to kiss my bruises .Never to see me when I graduate. Never going to walk me down the isle on my wedding day. Never.
Time stoped. I forgot where I was. Who I was.
Present Day
" bye grandma"
l paused as I stood over her casket. I let a tear escape and fall down my cheek. This was too much. It reminded me of my parents funeral. Four years ago when I was 10. Gone too soon, Like my grandma
" thank you, for everything" I whispered
I had to get out of here. I was going to have a panic attack. One of the many symptoms of my PTSD.
After I said my goodbyes to my grandma. I walked out. Then I bolted.
I stopped and sat under a tree. I started to calm my breathing as instructed by many therapists.
" In and out. In and out." Told my self." just breathe"
