Is it meant to be...?

It's like I was floating for forever. The white souls that had once been one had separated into two, drifting apart in space all on their own. It was like there was no place to go. They never knew that in their next life, their paths would cross. Many billions of years later, the two souls had been born as beings, each closer than imagined. It felt almost as if they were half way around the earth from each other, but really, they were together.
Time had begun to pass, each vein independent and on their own. They had always felt this strong pull inside of them with a destiny within. They had not known about their past lives, but deep down they felt a strange feeling in their hearts.
One sunset evening, the two unexpectedly went to the same park, the sunset coming down behind the mountains, and the thick air pulsing through their lungs. They had stopped to see the beautiful scene, about 5 feet apart from each other being the strangers they were, but for some reason something was clicking. It had felt weird that they began to glance at each other, and the pull in their hearts began to become stronger and stronger every moment they stood there. What seemed like forever, the sun finally set and the moon began to shine.
As an 'accident' it was, they had caught eye contact and stared. They can see the lights and stars shining in their eyes, and they had gotten closer than before, almost foot apart from each other until one spoke up. 'Ah.. i-I'm sorry...' they gulped and both felt rather nervous with each other. Another moment, and the other had introduced themselves to not let the silence between them become too awkward. Familiar names went through their names as their eyes widened and looked over at their touching hands. They were being held for awhile without notice, fingers intertwined, and yet none of them let go with hearts beating faster.
Everything went silent, the trees stopped waving for a moment, the cherry blossom petals fell slowly and the moment almost felt cliche. They spoke again. Repeating names with a question of 'is that you?' There was a long pause, and before they knew it, they realized it was the long lost soul. The two souls have finally reunited again, come together and found each other. It was like it was meant to be. With that, they had a large embrace, it was like feeling at home again. Each felt like they had a place now, in each other's hearts. They were finally one again.
