The sky is a deep, burnt orange. I can see the sun setting to my left, sinking below the skyline, and to my right i can see a forest. The sky I can see between the trees is a pale but dark blue, the trees seeming like silhouettes against the ever-darkening twilight sky. I stare at the person next to me, taking in their features and memorizing them, for I fear I might forget them. Their hair is a rich black, falling down the side of their face in unruly curls. Their eyes are a pale blue, flecks of a deeper blue entwined with the lighter shade, making them seem much paler. Their nose is small, button-like, dotted with freckles. Their lips are a pale pink, lip gloss making them shine under the brightness of the sun.

The sun sinks below the skyline, the sky becoming darker and darker with every passing minute. I look up and see the moon, a pearl against the blanket of darkness covering the sky shrouding everything in night, the stars like twinkling diamonds. I look back at the one sat next to me, their skin glowing under the light of the full moon. They look back at me, a smile dancing across their features, and I cant help but smile back. we go back to staring at the stars, sneaking glances at each other, and only one thought runs through my head at this moment: I am so glad I have them.
