I was 20 minutes deep into the movie when my phone rung. I checked the caller ID and seen it was my mom. I kinda been dodging her calls out of guiltiness.
"Hey ma." I said as I walked into the kitchen.
"Girl I thought you were dead. I went by your house and your neighbor said he haven't seen you in days." She said being over dramatic.
"I'm alive mama." I said with a little chuckle.
"Well I can see that. Where are you Kierra?" She asked and I let out a sigh.
"My boyfriend's house." I sorta mumbled.
"You said you where na?" She asked again and I rolled my eyes.
"My boyfriend house, remember mama I'm grown." I said walking back into the living room.
"Right about that but Kierra you could've told me that." She said and I nodded as if she could see me.
"So about this boyfriend of yours, how come I don't know much about this?" She asked and I laughed.
"You know the work life." I half lied biting my lip.
"Mhm. Well I just wanted to know if you were alive or not." She said with a slight chuckle.
"I'm alive and safe." I said looking at my phone. I have a incoming call from Christian.
