Spiders aren't that scary

Tony was brought out of his daze by the sudden scream of Morgan. Tony was inside their cabin, finally having gotten round to reading a book Pepper had recommended to him. (It had only taken several years).

He got up suddenly with concern and worry etched on his face.

The scream was followed by what Tony interprets as sobs but sound suspiciously like little giggles.

As he makes his way towards the door, he comes face to face with Pepper, who looks equally worried. Morgan isn't the type of girl who gets frightened easily, making it more worrying for her parents when she screams.

As they rush outside towards the tent she was playing in, they spot her standing to the side of it, not facing them.

'Morgan, darling. What's wrong?'

'There's a spider in my tent.' she replies with a (fake) sniffle.

'I thought you liked spiders honey. You like Peter and he's basically half spider.'

'Yeah but this one's really really big.'

'Ok, I'll get it out for you' Pepper replied, relieved that nothing serious was wrong with Morgan.

She carefully opened the tent door, that was located on the opposite side to where they were standing.

When she poked her head in she was greeted by Peter giving her a cheesy smile. He was sat hunched up with his knees under his chin in order to squish in the tent.

Trying to suppress a laugh, she spoke up.

'You know, this is quite a big spider. I think your daddy should deal with it.'

She gave Peter a smile before she exited the tent.

'Pep, it can't be that big'

'I'd say it was about five foot eight' Pepper laughed.

After a few moments, Tony's brain clicked and his face broke into a smile.

Of course this is the way that Peter would return home from college.

Tony headed towards the tent entrance and opened it to reveal the bright smile of Peter.

'Hey kid, how's college going?'

'Hi Mr Stark, it's great.'

'That's good. See were still stuck on Mr Stark though.' Tony said giving Peter a hug.

'Forever and always. Hey Pepper, hey Morgan, thanks for letting me use your tent.'

'Hey Peter, glad to see you. Why don't we all go inside and get a snack?' Pepper asked.

'Juice Pops!' came a small shout.

'That was just what I was thinking.' Tony replied.

The little family made their way into the house overlooking the lake, all smiling as much as they could.
