After a few minutes, dudes in suits opened up the elevator shaft above us. They.... actually seemed like they could help! Maybe I didn't actually need to use my powers and everything would be fine.

The tour guide opened up the weird window thingy at the top of the elevator roof, and the Suit Dudes began pulling people out. Cindy was first, then Charles and so forth. I could feel how rickety the elevator was, and with my powers, I tried to keep it as stable as I could. Still, this was so much different than what I was used to. Its weight was constantly shifting, making it harder for me to keep steady.

"(Y/N), are you okay?" Ned asked me. "You look pale."

"Yeah," I said, "I'll be fine."

"(Y/N) needs to get out next," Liz said, looking worriedly at me. "Ned's right. You don't look too good."

"But I was next!" Flash complained. "It's my turn."

Flash basically climbed on top of Mr. Harrington to get out of the elevator, arguing with Cindy at the top about how he refused give our team's trophy to her. Flash being Flash refused, and if I had the strength, I would have eye-rolled at him. He was able to get onto the top of the elevator's roof, but he kept shaking. I was still trying to keep the elevator where it was, but my knees gave out, and the elevator jolted again.

Flash hopped out of the elevator and onto actual ground, just as the glass windows of the building blew out. I no longer could help the elevator float any longer, and collapsed onto the elevator floor. The ceiling of the elevator broke off, and we began falling.

Almost.

A thick, white web shot onto the elevator floor, right next to where I was sitting. Spider-Man in his random excellence had a grip on our elevator car, and tried to pull it up.

"I did it!" Spidey said, sounding surprised."Woah!"

He.... almost did it. The webs kept breaking from the strain, making the elevator jolt down more and more.

"Don't worry about it," Spidey said. "I've got you."

Ned began cheering, but Spider-Man had to tell him to stop, since he kept shaking the elevator. I finally had a bit more strength, and tried to keep the elevator where it was. Thankfully, it was much easier, since A) there were less of us, and B) Spider-Man helped keep us up, anyways.

The Suit Dudes were able to get us out again, since the elevator was fairly stable at last. I yelled at Liz to go first, then Mr. Harrington, then Ned. Mr. Harrington had his hand outstretched for me to grab, as I finally stood up. I reached to grab his hand, but quickly forgot about holding the elevator up.

Spider-Man's web snapped, and I began to plummet. Spidey quickly flicked his wrist, and webbed up my outstretched hand, just in time. I dangled in the darkness, and Spider-Man tried to pull me up. The least I could do was make myself lighter, but it took a lot of energy out of me.

When I got up to the elevator doors, I almost passed out. I had nothing left in me, and I felt like Spider-Man understood that, too. He stood by my side, and wrapped his arms around me tightly.

"I never thought you were a hugger," I told him, awkwardly patting his back.

"There's a lot you don't know about me," he muttered, but I just rolled my eyes. What Tween Romance book did he steal that line from? Hunger Games? Twilight?

He pulled away, but kept me at arms length. He just seemed to be searching for something broken or hurt, but all the pain was mental. Like, if I didn't get food or some sleep in thirty minutes tops, I might pass out and die, but it wasn't that bad. At least Spider-Man was holding me up a bit.
