Typical girl, Rhea Madison, isn't one of those girls who want attention, put on make up, flirt with boys, or date with others. All she wants is to survive high school and get on with life, but not everything is that easy especially when the Queen Bee of the school, Alison Queen, envies your beauty. Rhea knows that no matter how hard she tries to stay hidden in the shadows, the spotlight always shines in her.

Jacob Thompson, has just recently broken up with his girlfriend, Melissa Ace, Alison's friend because he had caught Melissa cheat on him with Ethan Duke, his friend. So when Melissa breaks up with Ethan, she begs to let Jacob retake her as his girlfriend and so as a distraction from her, he asks Rhea to be his girlfriend and she says yes. What she doesn't know is that sooner or later, Jacob, will break up with her. He isn't called a player of hearts for nothing.

Description: A normal average girl that every boy wants for himself because of her natural beauty. She is smart, caring, kind, sweet, and determined to get through her last year of high school and get into NYU. (The setting of the story is in New York)

Name: Jacob Thompson 

Age: 18

Grade: 12th grade

Description: A player of hearts. Rude, somewhat charming that makes every girl fall heads over heels for him, a basketball player, so athletic. His mother died when he was 6 years old. His brother is 21 and attends NYU in which is where Jacob intends to go for college. He has also just recently broke up with his long term girlfriend and the only girl so far that he had actually ever loved. His father is barely home and when he is, he is too tired to talk much from all of his work supporting Jacob and his older brother, Axel.

 Name: Alison Queen

Age: 18

Grade: 12th grade

Description: Alison is the school's 'it' girl although her friends appreciate her beauty, they practically die for Rhea's. Her parents are divorced and she lives with her mother and two sisters who are twins and are in 10th grade now.

Name: Melissa Ace

Age: 18

Grade: 12th Grade

Description: One of Alison's friends and Jacob's ex girlfriend. She had been cheating on Jacob, dating with Ethan Duke, her ex's best friend and when she finds that he has been cheating on her with Alison, she begs to be Jacob's girlfriend once more only to be rejected again.

Name: Amelia Grace

Age: 18

Grade: 12th Grade

Description: Rhea's one and only friend for almost all their lives. She has a prefect life that most people would love and she has a normal life with a boyfriend, Noah Greens.
