  I'm home I called while climbing up the stairs to my room. Okay darling, but there's a special surprise waiting for you down here in the family room. Immediately I heard the word surprise, I dropped my bag on the marble floor of my room and literally run to the family room to meet Luther my childhood crush and best friend. I'm so happy and shocked that I stand and stare at him like I've seen a fairytale princess came to life right before my very eyes. Hi ash, missed me? He asked. Hell yeah I say and run to hug him. I've missed you so much lu I can't tell you how much I had cried every time I had my birthday without my best friend by my side I said as I cried in his shirt. You left me alone and left to pursue your own dreams. I blurted out knowing I was being very selfish. Hush ash, you'll be turning 18 this week, remember, I'll be here for your birthday and I'll never leave your side. I'll always protect you from harm's way and I hope you know that right, he said. I smile up at him and say yes but do you pinky swear that you'll be with me forever, I asked him, Of course ash even if I find my mate, I'll never desert you he said and it made my heart feel warm and I felt like a void had been filled in my heart. Good morning to you all I greeted with a smile plastered on my face. In a few hours, ill officially be 18 and I'm so excited about it. What if I find my mate at the party or what if my party gets crashed by a pack of rouge wolfs, my mind kept moving to and fro thinking about all the possibilities of my birthday party being a great success or a big mess.

Sup man, I said to my best friend Matthew as I opened my locker in the athletes shower and locker rooms. Man my mum just sent me a message to get ma fucking ass home right now cause there is gonna be a birthday party and its really important so every ones supposed to be there he informed me. Oh really, I exclaimed with a devilish grin so whose birthday is this I asked. Um I don't think you're gonna be happy about this but it's the alphas daughter's birthday he said in a very scared manner. Oh so it's little miss Asher's birthday? I said with malice in my voice. Would you be attending the party? He asked me, of course I will, after all I'm the alpha of mercy pack and it's my duty to make good connections with our neighboring packs I replied with a smug smirk. Well shall we get moving then? Matthew asked.
