"Vernamay if you don't hurry up we're not going to make it to the airport!" Mia yelled up the stairs to me.
"I'm coming! i have one more thing i have to grab!" I yelled back down to her. My best friend and I have been planning this trip since the 9th grade. Mia and I have always wanted to take a break in LA before heading off to college and today's the day. We are about to head to the airport right now after I find what I'm looking for. Oh there they are! You can't go a whole 2 months without headphones. I grabbed my headphones and ran down to the kitchen where Mia was standing.
"Your wearing that to the airport?" Mia asked looking at my outfit.

"Yes, what's wrong with it?" I questioned looking down at myself.
"You look like a bum," Mia said as I started to laugh. Mia has always been the one for fashion out of the two of us.
"Well I don't care I want to be comfortable for the plane ride," I say still laughing.
"Whatever don't come crying to me when we see a hot guy and you look like that," she said still looking at my outfit in disgust. Honestly it's not even that bad in my opinion.
"Whatever," I say as I grab my bags and head out to the car. My parents are going to drop Mia and I off at the airport so we don't have to leave our cars there when we're gone. As I get outside I notice my mom and dad are already in the car.
"Hi honey ready to go?" My mom asked as I lifted my things into the back of the car.
"Ready as we'll ever be!" Mia answered for me as she climbed into the car.
