Vampire

Chapter First

One droplet falls on the concrete road then other follows. Rain started pouring. It was accompanied by wild winds. The sound of gun shots echoed in the empty Street. The Night was dark. 3 black Cars filled with men who held guns and were shooting bullets after bullets raced the empty street. Ready to kill their pray on the spot.

Lampposts on the street were broken. Few of them that were working were penetrated by the bullets. It was pitch black and the only light was coming was through the headlights of the car.

The cars came to screeching halt one by one.

'I can't see him' a man cried from the leading car.
He was leaning out of the passenger seat's window, holding a rifle in his hand. He swept a hand on his face to wipe the water away from his face and hair. One man was standing on back seat and out of the roof of the car holding a rifle in his hand, looking ahead of them in darkness.

The one who was leaning through the passenger window duck inside the car and opens the passenger door and jumps out of the car. Water splash as his feet meets the ground. Holding the rifle he shut the door behind him with a thud. He walks a few steps ahead and stops in front of the car.

Rain drumming on car and flows in trail from the car's body to road forming puddles of water. He squints his eyes to search the whole area in front of him. His eyes moves from a half constructed building to several big wild trees around it. Something felt odd to him.

Suddenly he felt someone 's eyes on him. Chills erupted in his body as something very evil was lurking in shadows nearby. He moves his head from side to side as he searched his surrounding for any danger. He thought some wild animal might be hiding behind some bushes or trees around them to pounce on them.

The place looked wild to his eyes and he won't be surprised if some wild animal was lurking and waiting to pounce on them.

But his blood ran cold when something flickered in distance . Then nothing. He blinked his eyes, wiped the water from his eyes and looked again.

A moment of eerie silence.

Then it flickered again. Now it was closer then before.

He stumbled backward. His back of knees hitting the front of the car.

Then that thing disappeared again in thin air.

His eyes widen and body shook in fear. His hold on his gun gun slipped and it dropped in the puddle of water. His mouth closed and opened but his voice stuck in his throat as fear engulfed him. Before he could blink, red eyes stared at him. He heard snap of something almost like bones before his world turned upside down and dark slumber drowned him.

A bald buff man was sitting in the driver seat of the first car. The sound of rain inaudible inside. He was on phone updating his boss about the current situation of the 'hunt'.

Unaware of the red eyed monster who was staring at him from outside through the front window. He looked up from his phone, in front. Nothing. No one was there. He frowned and leaned in front, trying to see where is his friend. Darkness and rain made it hard for him to see anything.

He throws his phone in passengers seat. He opens driver's side door and comes out of the car. He goes ahead in distance and look for his friend, nothing.

His eyes search in distance but he met with eerie silence. His frown deepens and annoyed he turns round.

His knee buckles at what he sees. His friend body was laying on the ground. Blood gushing out from its broken neck. His chest rise and fall as he rapidly breaths. He run towards his car looks in the back seat.

Empty.

He pauses.

He takes few steps back. His heart started pumping rapidly in his chest. He thinks of other two cars and run towards the second car and in haste opens the back seat door.

Four bodies layed their in akward position. Bile rise to his mouth. But fear stopped him from vomiting and he rushed to the last car but stopped himself.

The car was flatten.

Fragments of glass scattered everywhere. A thunder rumbled in sky followed by blinding white lightening making him jump in surprise and fear. His eyes goes wide and looks around him from corner of his eyes. His whole body shakes. He turns to run back to his car.

He takes a step ahead and stops.

He raise a hand and feels around his neck. Long fingers around his neck squeezing life out of him. His eyes widen in realisation. But before he could do much his head turned 180 and his body falls on the road with a thud and water splashes .
