It was sunrise and half of StabyClan woke up. Snowystar woke up the latest (as usual).
She didn't want to know what the others would think if they knew she came in late again. But just as she worried... "Come on, Snowy. You always wake up so late." Kurtis meowed as he hopped in her den, abruptly. "One of these days, you'll be so slow that you can't even run away from a badger!" He added as he padded away to the center. Snowy was already up and ready without even a stretch and headed to the center. She spotted Breeze on the way, missing her flower crown. She hesitated to do anything awkward around her crush. But followed her anyways. What should i say? Should i ask her something? Tell her how nice the night is? Wait... it's not night, it's the middle of the morning! She was very nervous but she was already close to Breeze. "Oh! Uh- Hi Breeze!" Snowystar began. "Morning, Snowy" Breeze smiled as Snowy spoke. They both sat down at the center where their leader, Blueflame called for a clan meeting. The cats silenced as Blueflame yowled the quieting signal. "Cats of StabyClan. I called this early morning meeting for an important announcement. As some of us know, there have been some problems with our badger neighbors." Snowy quietly chuckled a bit after Blue said "Badger Neighbors" Blueflame continued with her announcement. "I will be sending a patrol afternoon and i promise will do something to stop this. But in the meantime, all of you enjoy your morning hunt and be on the lookout." Blueflame then dismissed the meeting and cats walked away in worry. All accept for Snowystar. Breeze shivered in fear but she was also cold. Snowystar let her warm fluffy tail stroke her back. "Thanks." Breeze purred.
It was cold February and all cats started to get ready for spring already. Snowystar rushed into an empty den and examined it. Breeze was behind her, hoping nothing bad would happen. "There's some prey in the den. Hope the badger doesn't mind."
"Wait, Snowy, those might not be fresh!" Breeze warned but Snowystar chuckled as she picked up a rabbit. "No need to worry, they're recently killed. Besides, the badger wouldn't notice." as soon as Snowy picked it up, she turned to Breeze and dropped it. "Here, you have it." She smiled dragged the rabbit closer with her muzzle. "Really? I thought you were hungry." Breeze raised her head, being suprised on how she shares her food, knowing she'd never share her food around anyone. "Nah, you can have it." Snowystar insisted. She raised her ears in shock as she saw black and white from a distant. Well, shit. She growled quietly, digging her claws in the dirt. Breeze gulped down a mouthful and turned to Snowystar as she heard her growl. They both heard hisses. The badger trotted over to two and gave Breeze a sharp bite on her flank. Snowystar hissed with fury while she swiped her paws and let her claws slash at the badger's neck. Breeze kicked the badger off of her and rushed. She was behind Snowystar, feeling more safe around her. The badger attacked immediately and Snowystar stood up, reaching it's flank and dodging it. Yowls, hisses and spits were heard everywhere all except for StabyClan's camp since it was too far so no one could help. The badger grabbed hold of Breeze and she let out a yowl of pain through the bite. Snowystar collapsed as the badger kicked her before fleeing with Breeze being dragged in it's jaws. Snowystar got up without and curled her lip. She rushed towards the badger and pounced at it, giving it a massive bite with clawing it's shoulder. The badger let go of Breeze as it shrieked and retreated somewhere far from the territory. Breeze couldn't breathe well after the fight. "Snowy, you... you fought like a lion back there." She sounded empressed but also thankful. "I don't want you dead. That son of a fox-heart almost could have ended your life!" Snowy sighed as she helped Breeze up. "I'd get those checked if i were you." She looked at Snowystar's wounds and pinned her ears in worry. "Haha, speak yourself, the badger gave you more of a scratch." Snowystar smiled as she walked back to the territory. "Well, coming?" Snowystar turned her head to Breeze and waved her paw to the way. Breeze followed.
Later, Breeze and Snowystar were in the healing den. Roonie softly dropped a leaf filled with poppy seeds. "Take these, the pain will fade faster but you will tired. So make sure to get some sleep once it hits, alright?" She meowed. Snowy and Breeze both nodded. "I heard what happened." Blueflame came in the healing den and looked at Snowystar. "I'm proud but also disappointed you didn't inform me before attacking." She sighed and looked away fire a second. "But you saved a life, that's what's more important, So fortunately, you won't be taking a punishment today." She added and padded out of den. "Hey, Snowy. I want to thank you for fighting off that badger for me. But you could have run away an-" Snowy cut Breeze off by raising her paw softly laying it on her nose. "No, that's not what i do when a friend's in danger. Especially you." She bowed her head. "I respect my word, 'protect even at the cost of my life.'" Snowy's word was clear. And there was proof, her fighting off a threat. The threat looked like it could kill her by glance, but no. Her bravery was possibly stronger than anyone else's in the clan.
It was sunset, Breeze and Snowystar were sharing the rabbit they got from the den. They shared thoughts and funny stories. They laughed as she finished their dinner and looked at the sun slowly going down. "Breeze, i've ben thinking..... for a long time actually..." Breeze perked her ears up as she spoke. Breeze had a crush on her too. And this is the moment they've both been waiting for. "I... have very deep feelings for you and i......... i love you." Snowy tried the hardest not to scream and so did Breeze. "I..." Breeze's tail showed affection towards her. "I love you too, Snowy." She purred, feeling relief. She took off the flower crown and put it on Snowy's head. They both blushed leaned against each other as the stars started to shine it's brightest.
