The Substitute

A wedding between lovers has the feeling of tremendous excitement, happiness, and, finally, the most beautiful moments of their lives. However, this would never be the case for me. This was supposed to be a special day, yet I'm still not sure my words can describe the emotions I've been feeling. A wedding was supposed to be the most blissful day of a woman's life. Sadly, it is the most tormenting moment for me.

The venue is a historical courtyard covered in ivy. It was the perfect location for the kind of wedding somebody can wish for—natural, relaxed yet elegant and dreamy.

"Don't ruin your make up" Mom told me as she wiped the tears from my face

I was about to go inside the library to returned the book I was holding when I heard lola's voice. I stopped and stood behind the door

" Have  you found her?"  Lady Yueya eagerly asked

He bowed to them before answering

"We apologize we haven't found Miss Bellaire yet."

*glass shattered*

Lola had thrown the small flower based unto the floor

"Why is she trying to be a pain in my neck?! I won't let her destroy our bond with the Lacsus!"-Grandma

*sigh* Poor Bella, she needs to suffer because of that so-called bond between families

"Search every nook and cranny! I don't care, kung saan lupalop siya pumunta! Do not stop until you find her. You're dismissed." -Grandma

The butler made a 90-degree bow and then went outside

I was simply eavesdropping on them while trying my best not to get caught

"Mia! How on earth did you raise that child?! Katulad lang siya ng kanyang Inang Hampaslupa! walang utang na loob."

"Ma be considerate. nawalan siya ng magulang sa murang edad baka nabigla lang siya nung malaman niyang ipapakakasal natin siya sa hindi niya kilala. Let  Leon search for her. For now, we should do plan B" - Mom said calmly

My forehead creased upon hearing Mom. Plan B?

I was taken aback when someone whispered near my left ear

"Eavesdropping is not a good idea, miss." the cold voice sent a shiver down my spine

"Ssshhhhh...my grandma is angry so better shut your mouth!Baka idamay pa niya ako sa galit niya."I whispered

Nagulat na lang ako ng lumutang ako sa ere. Binuhat ako nung gago na parang isang sako ng patatas at pumasok sa silid kung saan sila grandma. I'm doomed!!!(T＿T)

"King? What brings you here?" gulat na tanong ni Mom sa lalaking may buhat sa akin

"I apologize for appearing suddenly,  they sent me here to check if the rumors were true," he said coldly before putting me down

Tumingin si Mama at Lola Yueya sa gawi ko kaya ako nag-iwas ng tingin 

"That's ridiculous! She's here right now. "Mom exclaimed

Nagulat ako sa sinabi niya. She went near me and held my hand while looking at me with a please-cooperate-with-me-look so I gave her a faint smile

"Were you trying to fool us?" he creases his forehead
