I knew that it wasn't me.
I mean it was a bit of harsh punishment.
I had heard about the legend of the labyrinth and the almighty minotaur. And death-defying stories and the odd person saying "if one goes in, one will never return".
I struggled as two huge guards grasped my arms both dressed in bronze armour. I couldn't even remember what happened after that it all went in a blur. The scenery went from bright to dark. And next thing I knew I was tumbling over my heels running through the Labyrinth and I was certain I was lost!
My lamp was lit, thankfully but I could hear a distant rumbling and I guessed the sound was coming from the east side of the maze.
My heart was pumping. I became frantic, afraid of what might be near me, because of this I started running again,
I tripped and fell head over heels, my face hit hard against the muddy floor. My arms were weak, but I pushed myself up, taking a glance down at my leg I could see there was a large black horn piercing through it. It was bleeding constantly. My leg was stained bright Scarlett, it hurts so much that I moaned.
But I remembered how would that help me get out.
So then I got up and started running again, I had to find an exit there must be an exit or at least some teleportation entry in the centre that would get me out of this dreadful place.
I was pretty sure that I'd already been to this part of the maze. But it was hard to tell, well, I mean, a labyrinth is made to confuse the victim.
The rumbling that I had heard earlier was seeming to become louder! And louder! And louder!
I swang around a corner and without realising I became to face With a beast. I could see the anger in his bulging red eyes and I could hear his loud consistent breathing.
He swung his head to and fro. It was huge, around five times the size of mine. Saliva was drooling from his mouth creating a pool underneath him. He snarled at me his large teeth gleaming as a tiny beam of light Shone on to him. Grinding His hoof against the dirty floor, I was sure I was in trouble.
His fur was all matted, tightly packed and wild and his skin was dreadfully grim. A stench of sweat headed towards me, that made me cough.I knew if danger was a person he would fit the title ...
For he was a Minotaur
A shot of Fear rushed into my heart. I could feel it beating faster and faster. I was backing away.
He didn't come near me,
but I knew that he was cunning and he would pounce on me at an unexpected time.
Now I had two choices either to find the exit (if there was one) or been chased by a monitor and slowly tired out and he might eventually catch me and that would be my fate.
The creature let out an enormous ear deafening huff and then came the reply or several others.
There was not one minotaur but many.
they began roaming the Labyrinth. I remember pressing myself against a wall peeking around the corner. Seeing a humongous minotaur bigger than the one is bumped into. He was black he had a gigantic scar across his left eye. marks of sword slashes all over his body. His main was ruffled I try to keep still but I slipt! Thud!
His head turned upright He sniffed the air then headed in my Direction.
At once I saw a glimmer of hope could that be the exit. I quietly tiptoed over to it. It had looked ever so real back there.
But now it was just like a mirage in the desert I must be imagining.
I was going faint and I was light headed. I hadn't drunk since the morning. I sat down wept.
For it was hopeless now, the exit was fake I knew that my destiny lay here.
I knew that the minotaurs would not stop searching until they find me dead or alive.
And sadly that was my happily ever after, it was certainly was not glamorous but one day if you become a victim and get thrown down here you may find me or the remains of me!
