She wanders through the woods scared, lost and alone. Hearing nothing but the howling of the winds, or was that wolves? She didn't know which made her watch the dark among her even more so that she could see if she could find a stick and beat the creatures to death if she needed to. She was also watching for the creatures glowing yellow eyes among the trees, hoping even once that she wouldn't see them. Her hopes were for naught however as the wolves' eyes appeared and she was without even a stick to protect herself. She stands there cursing her mother who pushed her behind without her father or two younger brothers knowing as they ran from their broken family cabin with the pack of wolves after them. She cries silently as the situation finally sinks in thanks to her thoughts so she kneels down before laying flat on the ground begging the gods that she believes in that the wolves won't eat her.

The Alpha of the pack approaches the mortal girl with caution even though he can smell the fear on her. Her age seems to be between twelve to fourteen and her body is shaking pretty badly, probably because of the fear coursing through her bones. She seems like a tall girl for her age and her hair is almost as dark as the night sky, the Alpha can't see her eyes as she is curled tightly into a ball to protect her front which is the closer area to the heart leaving her back unprotected as her back is mostly bones and muscle. Alpha can sense something different from normal mortals laying dormant in the girl and decides to tell his pack to hide with him deep in the trees but not too deep, only enough to where the girl can not see their eyes but the wolves can still see the girl. Confused on why she doesn't feel the wolfs presence anymore she gets up and slowly looks around, she doesn't see the glowing amber and yellow eyes of the wolves so she starts to head back to the broken in cabin hoping to wait there until some adults can save her.

A few weeks go by and the child has learned to survive getting a little bit more wild everyday she is left in the woods alone. Soon enough a month has passed and the girl is feral, barely remembering human speech. She only remembers what her name is a few weeks before the feral presence laying dormant within the girl awakens and she starts to understand all of the animals and why they act the way they do. As the child goes out to hunt for food on a bright morning, the Alpha of the dire wolves approaches her once more. Soon as the child sees the dire wolf, however, she starts growling and backing away not understanding what the wolf wants with her. The Alpha, however, slowly goes into a submissive position hoping to make the youngling understand that he means her no harm, which the youngling slowly starts to understand. The youngling stops growling bit by bit before the young female motions for the dire wolf to leave after they have had their staring contest for a few minutes. Understanding that the child does not wish to see him right now he leaves but, promises he will be back so he can help the female youngling learn what she can do to hunt big game for more protein in her meals.

By now a month has passed and the girl is growing, and only remembers her true language Inuktitut and knows her name is Suluk which means feather. The Alpha of the dire wolf pack that has followed her keeps his distance which she is fine with and keeps watch over her, sometimes leaving her uncooked steaks from cows and even rarer a whole deer which has helped immensely with her growth and her trust of the Alpha dire wolf to where he can slowly come closer to her den without her growling and baring her teeth as a sign of wariness. When the Alpha returns to his pack one day his Beta Kinaktok which means sharp approaches him to voice his concerns on the feral female who lives very close to the pack's den.

"Amaguq, we must talk about the female pup you keep visiting. It's causing great concern within the pack that you keep leaving to watch her without backup in case she attacks you." Kinaktok says politely to his Alpha hoping that he will see how his pack worries about his safety as he is a great leader and one they hope won't leave them unless it is his time to do so. Just as Amaguq goes to respond he hears a scream from the female pups camp and rushes over there his Beta following to see what his Alpha finds so interesting in the feminine youngling.
