The war that changed us all

The news that shocked the world

war ! war! war! All over the television Margaret and her husband Albert looked all over the television war had just been declared against all the countries of the world and apparently they needed more men to enlist and go overt fight for their country.  Albert soon looked over his shoulder and looked at his beautiful little  girl Evelyn he knew they needed help over there in that war torn, filthy  bloody, horror shocking,and  gory place but the thing was if he got killed how was this going to end up for his daughter in the future? never knowing who her father was what he did and where he was until she was old enough to understand he then turned to his wife and said ''I will give it a little longer to think about first and if I want to go I will enlist a few days after '' But you can't his wife explained what If you get killed hurt or injured and I never see you again and how is this going to turn out for Evelyn Margaret cried tears rolling down her cheeks and face ''like I said darling  I will give it a little longer to think about first and if I want to go I will enlist a few days after.

As the next days rolled past there was more shocking news to come the war had already cost more than 23,000 casualties  or more soldiers on day one this just showed how horrifying this place was and how they needed so much more help over there Albert kept thinking about this will I go over there ? what will happen to me? will this place be good ? what is it like to be a solider over there? all of theses questions flied  and floated through his head like 1,000 maths sums but two days later he finally made his mind up he was going to go over and defend his country and fight . The next morning dawn came and Albert packed the last of his bags and extra belongings that were important or may be helpful he waited until 6:00am and woke his wife and told her to get his daughter up as well he was going to be getting on the boat at 7:00am that would take him to the place where they apparently needed help and would set sail for his journey over seas   so he could help time soon fled by and Albert was giving his last kisses and goodbyes Margaret was crying and tears rolled down alberts cheeks as he looked at his four year old daughter who may not see him again for the rest of  her life as he gave her one last kiss he hopped aboard on the ship that would take him over to the place they called Gallipoli where his war life and journey would begin.

As Albert felt the cold wind blow on his face and felt the true sea sick gut churning waves that made most men feel sick to their stomachs he was pondering about  this place  called  Galipolli was like was he going to have the time of his life or was this just a place that he shouldn't of even had thoughts about in the first place according to the newspapers articles and news with pictures sounds and much more stuff this  did not look like the place you would want to be in but this could all be just the thoughts that were on his mind that many be giving him second thoughts or make him feel uncomfortable in the gut but he was determined to see what this would be like and wether this news was true he glanced at his watch and it was 6:30am in the morning and it wasn't going to be long until the sun rose and he would be able to see over those rocky cliffs but as the rest of the men sat in the boats they heard guns loud cracks and booms that were ear bleeding to hear and was such a horrible sound that made Albert feel worried to the guts but as one men is, silently ad quiet as a mouse flashed his  light over the first big hill that was visible to the eye he saw other soldiers soldiers that were dressed in different uniforms and  talking a different language ''oh holy '' one of the soldiers said they are the turks they are the men we will be fighting against in this war that everyone has  been talking about and  they have some deadly weapons on them as well he exclaimed to the other men on board but just as they were about to move closer more gun shots and bullets were fired and men were jumping out of the boats trying to get away form the danger that had just occurred and was already threatening their lives one of the mean screamed and they saw blood and already he took his final breath he was dead and he had been  on this country   for less than five minutes Albert looked at the hills and the other men maybe he shouldn't of have these thoughts in the first place and he had a very worrying feeling he now knew what was ahead of him this was going to be gory emotional and terrifying place to live in until this war was over as he sat in the boat his eyes looked like they thad the colour dried out of them for the first time he truly felt scared of something
