To the Moon and Back

Hi! My name's Drew Nevada Belle, but I prefer Nevada. The one and only. Nerd girl. The one who's super smart but never talks to anyone. The one who wears overly large clothes and glasses and has her hair in a messy bun, and eats tons of junk food. Like every girl tries to portray themselves as on instagram. But the reality is, I'm smart because I pay attention. I actually complete way less than half the homework I get everyday. I wear overly large clothes because they're comfortable and I can be lazy. I'm too lazy do my hair each morning. I wear glasses because my vision is fucking horrible. And I do have zits on my face and don't bother to cover them up. I'm 17 and the laziest biss you'll ever see. No wonder my parents have given up on me doing chores years ago. But anyways! That's me! And I'm also fascinated with space... It's pretty much my whole life. 

"Nevada!!!! Get up!!!! It's time for school and I can't afford for you to be late again!!!" "Jesus Christ mom, I'm already up!" oh. My god. She didn't even have to come into my room for me to hear her. Pretty sure the whole neighborhood can hear her. Might as well get up because she's going to yell more. I rather spare the neighborhood of hearing her voice again at 6:30 in the morning. I got up and went into the bathroom to take a shower. I turned the shower on to my preferred temperature and waited for it to warm up. After a couple minutes I put my hand under the water to see if it was hot enough. After deciding it was, I got in.

I got out and wrapped myself in a towel. I left the bathroom to see two five year olds run down the hallway. "I'm gonna get you!!!" "No you're not!!!!" I swear sometimes I hear the twins' voices wherever I go. Yes, I have two younger brothers named Alex and Alec. And yes, they are twins. Annoying ones at that. I walked into my room across the hall, and walked in, shutting the door, locking it after. I grabbed a black sweatshirt and light blue jean shorts. I put those on including some, uh, undergarments. I put on my grey sneakers and grabbed my backpack, slinging it over my shoulder. I went downstairs and passed through the kitchen, headed towards the door. "Breakfast!" My mom said. "Already on it." I replied as I took and apple from the fruit basket and took a bite. I got to the door and opened it, leaving the house to catch the bus. I put my earbuds in and played Comethru by Jeremy Zucker. I walked to the bus stop and waited. Some kids showed up I didn't really know, but I was looking for my best friend Ember. Suddenly I saw a brunette run down the street in my direction. "Nevyyy!!!" yep, it's definitely Ember. "Hey, Em." I said as she hugged me from behind. "Ready for school?" she asked. "As ready as I'll ever be." As I said that, the bus pulled up and we all got on.
