Chapter 2 yay!! So, I'm not sure if this chapter will be as long as the first, but I hope you're enjoying! If you have any requests or questions please leave them in the comments uwu!

Let's begin!

Your POV

Groaning softly, I fluttered my eyes open, feeling the light casting from a nearby window stinging my adjusting eyes. My head pounded, and I felt extremely dizzy, ill even.

"Mother is it morning already? I had the strangest..dream..." I muttered with a yawn. But as my eyes adjusted clearer, they shot open, gasping as I jolted up, chains weighing me back down to the bed.

"Miss (L/N), nice to see you awake and well." A strong cold voice spoke out.

I looked up in horror, seeing a tall, broad man, wearing a Generals attire, smirking down at me, 3 or 4 soldier redcoats behind him.

"Oh...it wasn't a dream.." I let out a hoarse gasp, tears stinging my eyes. I began to sob loudly, pulling on my restraints.

"My father!! Please! Where is he?!" I cried, not wanting the truth to be so.

The General simply leveled with me, letting out an amused sigh. "Unfortunately you and this young man were the only survivors of the....attack."

I turned to the bed next to me, seeing Henry, unconscious, whom was also chained. "Henry..." I whispered, biting my lip.

The General stood up, hands behind his back. "I'm terribly sorry about your father Miss (L/N), he was very useful to our British warships. But lives are lost everyday, we must accept, and move on."

I clenched my teeth, tugging on my chains, holding back more tears. "Unchain me now! I have done nothing of the sort to deserve such treatment!"

"Yes, but you see, you were with this young man, accused of treason. As a General, I must take precautions. You understand, don't you my dear?" He sneered.

I scoffed, looking away in disgust.

"Ah, look who's finally awake." I heard the General spat.

I turned, seeing a dazed, confused Henry, tugging on his restraints as well as I did.

" The whole town speaks of you." He began, staring intensely down at Henry. "The only other survivor of the Monarch. The boy who pelled all the way to St. Martin with this young lady." He gestured to me. "Against the tide , on a piece of wood, now gibbering about pirates and tridents."

"Please sir, let me and my friend go off these chains." Henry pleaded with a tired gaze.

The General scoffed, shaking his head. "My job is to protect this Island and these waters." He picked up Henry's worn down jacket. " And your sleeves have been ripped. The mark of treason."

"My father blindly accused Henry of treason for warning him and the captain of events that surely did happen. The destruction of the Monarch was caused by your crew's denial and stupidity. Henry is a man of honor and honesty, unlike you lot!" I snapped, one of the redcoats slapping me across the face.

I yelped, glaring up at them all.

"Hold your tongue young lady, or we'll lose it for you." He snapped.

Henry shook his head. "We were attacked by the dead!"

"You're a coward who ran from battle!" The General barked. "That is how you shall die."

He turned with his men and stormed off, leaving both me and Henry dumbfounded and lost.

That's when I began to cry hysterically.
