Despite appearances and no doubt,
at times to the contrary,
this collection will be an attempt to wrest back control,
to draw back from the cliff’s edge.
It is not pro-suicide at all,
it is an empirical attempt to identify,
to name and shame if you like and thereby learn
to countermand.
It is a poke in the eye for a debilitating problem,
A Lilliputian kick to the shins
a stab in the toe - ta da - so there!
I raise my Reepicheep sword on high,

may it ever be defiant and eventually,
against all odds and soddities,
triumph.
