SpongeBob was happily walking along, humming to himself. He stopped just outside Sandy's treedome and opened the first door. He was just about to ring the doorbell, when he saw a note hanging on the second door. The note read:
To anyone reading this,
I'm not at home right now.
I've ventured on an expedition
to find an ancient moonstone
that has seemingly only existed
in legend. But I'm determined to
find it and prove that it is real.
Don't worry about me. I'll be
home sooner than a coyote
drying up in a desert.
Sincerely,
Sandy Cheeks
SpongeBob was disappointed, and he walked back outside. "Oh, I wish Sandy wouldn't go on so many treacherous journeys," he said. "She says it livens her up and that there's nothing to worry about, but there's always room for trouble with these kind of things."

Meanwhile, Sandy had traveled to a mysterious place in search of the moonstone. She was wearing a special outfit for expeditions that was thinner than her normal suit, which allowed for easier movement, and a hat on her head inside her helmet. She just then finished climbing a steep wall of rock, and it was almost dark by now. Then she looked in front of her and saw a specific pattern of rock at the top. She took out a map and saw that a picture showed an accurate match. "Perfect!" she exclaimed. "I knew I could find it. Looks like all my research has paid off. Now, according to my calculations, there should be a certain arrangement to open the secret passage." She took out a piece of paper and examined what she needed to do. Then she headed over to the rocks and rearranged them so they matched what the instructions showed. She then stepped back and waited for the entrance to open. Some seconds later, the entrance opened up and she entered inside.
Sandy switched on her flashlight and searched the cave. "Now, if I'm not mistaken, the writings of Sterling Mandelford said to beware of booby traps," she said. "Good thing I came prepared." She reached into her backpack and pulled out a pinecone shooter. Then she fired the gun all around in front of her, and as she moved forward, her shots set off many traps, including a dozen machetes, a pit in the ground, falling spikes, flying arrows, and more. After dodging all the traps that were now set off, she finally made it to a blank wall. Anyone would think it was a dead end, but Sandy had done her research and knew exactly what to do. She dug into her backpack again and pulled out a pickaxe. Then she used it to dig her way forward.

After much digging, she finally made it to the other side. There was a long tunnel ahead, but she had learned that it was 4 miles long and only took you to an exit outside. She then reached into her backpack and pulled out a small bomb. Then she lit the fuse, set the bomb on the ground and quickly headed away from it. The bomb set off an explosion that destroyed the floor right before the tunnel. It was only a few feet down, and Sandy easily made it down below. Then she moved forward. She made it to a large room that had crystals embedded in the top that lit up the room. Sandy switched her flashlight off and examined the room. The only other thing that was there was an cylinder-shaped rock that had around piece of pottery shaped like a ball on top of it. Sandy was unable to move it. "Just as Sterling said," she observed. Then she pulled a hammer out of her backpack and smashed the pottery with it. The pottery shattered to reveal the shiny white moonstone inside it.
