Is it Springsteen or {Teenage} Dream{s}

Depuis le début

"Worked out ok the first time don't you think?" Niall smiles from the doorway.

"I regret telling you I enjoyed surprises..." I tease and he laughs. "But yeah, it couldn't have worked out better if you ask me."

We exchange romantic smiles across the bedroom, and for a split second we're locked in that trance that started it all for us. Not another word is exchanged, just blissful glances. I smile at him once more with my bottom lip between my teeth and Niall winks at me from the doorway before stepping out of the room.

After we finished devouring Niall's homemade french toast, that he has become an expert at cooking since finding out it was my favorite, he sent me off to get ready for the day while he did the washing up.

With very little to go on as to what we would be doing today, and very little left in my closet, I decided to go with something simple that could cover whatever activity Niall could have thought up for us today.

"Ready to go?" I ask, returning to the living room where Niall is, of course, watching the golf channel.

"Yep!" He answers, switching the TV off and standing to join me by the front door.

I'm fumbling with the clasp on the bracelet he gave me for Christmas when he reaches the door. His hands gently take the bracelet from mine and securely fasten it in it's rightful place. Once he's finished, I notice him pause to look at me before a slow and subtle grin covers that gorgeous face of his.

"What?" I chuckle, looking down to make sure I didn't have a rip in my leggings or something.

"Nothing." He smiles, pickup up his keys and my jacket from the rack behind the door.

"Is there something wrong with my outfit? Do I need to change?"

"No, of course not! Actually, it's perfect for what I have in mind today."

His comment makes sense to me once he admits that he wanted to recreate all of our firsts for our date today. Without realizing it, I had taken part in the plan by putting on the exact outfit I wore on our first date.

"I wanted to take you to all your favorite Nashville places one last time." He explained further when we arrived at one of my favorite shopping areas earlier.

He has to be the absolute sweetest man that has ever existed.

One of my favorite stops of the day has to be my favorite record store in Nashville. I've been dreaming of bringing Niall here, and i'm sure i've mentioned it as we drove by a few times, but I'm surprised he remembered it enough to include it in our day. I don't know why I'm surprised though, Niall always remembers the little things.

My parents were kind of hippies in their day. They loved vinyl records and taught Nora and I to use a record player long before we ever knew how to use an iPod. They instilled a love for music in us which led me to my personal love for music and a vinyl collection of my own.
