Chapter 37

Jennie went back straight to her room after they reach the house. Watching Jennie close her door, Jisoo went back to her room too. Rosé and Lisa wanted to follow but she pushed them away. Jisoo locked her door and sat on the floor leaning against her door. There's too many thing for her to process.

The look that Jennie gave her flashed into her mind and that got her to start crying again. Jisoo sobs quietly when she suddenly heard a knock outside. She opened the door and sees Lisa standing outside. Lisa cleared her throat and said:

"Uh, Jennie unnie wants me to take her pillows and blankets from your room"

Jisoo moved to let Lisa in, Lisa went in and picked up all Jennie's belongings from Jisoo's bed, she walked out the room and asked:

"Unnie do you want me to come over later?"

Jisoo shook her head, not even bothering to fake a smile

"Tell me if you're ready for some company" Lisa said before leaving her room.

Jisoo then locked the door again. The thought of Jennie would rather ask Lisa to take all her things back gave Jisoo the impression of Jennie doesn't even wants to see her and it hurt her more.

After a few moments, she stopped crying and went to have a shower. Cold water poured out but she didn't even bother to turn on the heater.

After shower, Jisoo just lay on the bed and stared into the ceiling. She tried to clear her mind but it wasn't working. Eventually, she fell asleep with tears trickling out from her eyes.

The next morning, Jisoo was awake by banging noises on her door.

"Unnie open up!" she heard Lisa shouting in

She tried to get up but she couldn't even move her hands

"I got the keys!" she heard Rosé shouting, after a few jingles, the people outside managed to open her door. Lisa ran in and shook her hand,

"Unnie wake up!"

Jisoo tried to open her eyes but she failed too, she's starting to fell the pain in her head, she then felt a very cold hand touched her forehead, then she heard Rosé saying:

"Oh my god she's having a really heavy fever, look how hot her forehead is!"

Then another hand touched her forehead, she struggled to open her eyes but she could just see a shadow in front

"Hospital, now!" she heard Jennie ordering

Then she passed out again.

The next time Jisoo woke up, she sees herself in a fully white coloured room. Her head hurts and her throat is very dry.

She groans and it attracted the attention of the people inside the room. She then sees the worry face of her sister and Rosé and Lisa, she could barely see Jennie who's standing a distance away.

"Unnie, what are you doing here? Where am I?" Jisoo asked

"You're in the hospital, you're having high fever" Jiyoon replied

"Ohh no wonder my head hurts so much" Jisoo said

"Are you okay? Do you want to see the doctor?" Rosé asked

"No no no, don't call the doctor, it's fine" Jisoo said

"What happened?" Jiyoon asked

"It was already late and unnie didn't came out from her room, we felt it weird and so we knocked her door but she didn't answer, Chaeng found the keys and we entered her room and we found one sick Jisoo laying on the bed" Lisa said

"I'll call manager oppa" Jennie quietly said, and then she left the room

After Jennie left the room, Lisa told Jisoo:

"Jennie unnie was really worried just now"

"I saw her dropping a few tears in the toilet just now, she must think that it's all her fault" Rosé said

"Wait, what are y'all talking about?" Jiyoon asked

"I'll tell you later, after they leave" Jisoo said softly

Jiyoon nodded her head and said:

"I'll go tell mom and dad"

She then left the room too.

Lisa immediately asked:

"What actually happened yesterday? Why are you both suddenly acting so weird?"

Jisoo them the whole story. She was at the verge of tears when Jennie suddenly entered the room. Awkwardly she said:

"Uh sajangnim wants to meet the three of us"

"Now?" Rosé asked

"Yes, the car is already downstairs" Jennie said

"Okay" Lisa said

Both Lisa and Rosé promised they'd come visit later before leaving but Jennie did not say a thing, she didn't even make eye contact with Jisoo.

Jiyoon came back in a short after they left. In front of her older sister, Jisoo felt small and protected. She told her every single details. She finally lets all her feeling out and eventually cried as she knows she doesn't have to act strong in front of her sister.

Before she knew it, she was already crying uncontrollably in her sister's embrace. After hearing the whole story, Jiyoon stroke her hair and said:

"I'm sorry for not being there for you my dear baby sister, you've gone through it yourself a lot, you should have called me, you should have told me earlier"

Jisoo continued crying while saying:

"I was so lost, I was so unhappy, it felt like the whole world is fulled of disappointment and I lost hope"

"Unnie what can I do?" Jisoo asked Jiyoon, she sounded like she was pleading for an answer

"I'm sorry Chu, I don't know" Jiyoon replied softly

Jisoo felt asleep soon. Later that day, Lisa and Rosé went back to visit, but Jennie didn't. None of them mentioned Jennie, they acted like nothing had happened. They told Jisoo that sajangnim called them just to check on the situation of the concert, but they also said that sajangnim send his greetings to Jisoo. It was turning late and Jisoo asked Lisa, Rosé and Jiyoon to go back. They offered to stay back but Jisoo jokingly said that she's an adult now.

After they left, Jisoo started scrolling through her phone, she saw a post that Rosé posted few hour ago. It's the picture of Jennie back hugging her and the caption says: 'Jensoo'.

Lisa commented bellow with heart emojis too.

Jisoo knew that Rosé and Lisa wanted to encourage her with the picture but then she thought: 'what's the point?', it only reminds her about the happy moments that she ruined herself. She sighed and continued scrolling through her phone when suddenly she received a message from Jiyoon. She clicked it opened and it goes like this:

'Dear baby sister, its me unnie. I sent you this message hoping it'd encourage you. Love is never easy. But that's because love it's so great and precious that it should not be easy. I don't know what kind of pain you're experiencing right now but I do know that it's so bad that it had changed you completely. You use to be my innocent and happy little sister but now you're different. You're mature and I can feel your sadness even when you're laughing. You've changed but I wouldn't call it a bad thing. I can see how happy you are with Jennie, I can feel it. As your sister, I should encourage you to give up but I know that Jennie really makes you happy. And that's what that matters to me. So I'm suggesting you give it one last try, show her your everything, let her know how much you love her, give it one last shot. No matter how it ended, at least you wouldn't regret in the future. Jisoo is no crybaby but for the second time today, tears streamed down from her cheeks as she holds back her uncontrollable sobs.
