SEVENTEEN

Stefan started the car, and drove to Elena's house.

"Do you feel better, now that you have some fresh air?" Stefan asked.

Juliette shrugged, and looked out the window.

"Yeah. Nature always make me feel better." Juliette explained.

"I'm glad honey." Stefan smiled.

"It doesn't change the fact I'm still numb to everything, if that's what you're asking.

Juliette just put her head to the window, and closed her eyes.

Five minutes later, the two made it.

Juliette got out of the car, and flashed to Elena's front door.

Stefan rang the doorbell, and Elena opened the door.

Elena hugged Stefan, and smiled at Juliette.

"If you're going to ask about my hair, I cut it." Juliette said.

She moved out the way for the two to come in.

"Elena can I lay on your couch?" Juliette asked with a whisper.

"Of course." Elena said smiling.

Juliette walked over to the couch, and laid down.

She didn't want to be bothered. Her emotions were on, but she was numb to everything. she wanted to be happy.

Juliette fell asleep on the couch.

She dreamed about the first time her father left her.

FLASHBACK: 1866: JULIETTE'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: AGE 5:

Stefan was walking little Juliette down the hall of her new classroom.

The two got to her classroom, and Juliette's heart was racing.

"Okay Juliette, we're here." Stefan said kneeling in front of Juliette.

"I don't want to leave you daddy." Juliette said with tears in her eyes.

"I know baby but, you have to go." Stefan explained.

"Will you come back?" Juliette asked with a tear on her small cheek.

"I promise Juliette." Stefan said wiping the tear.

She hugged Stefan tight.

"I love you papa." Juliette whispered in his shoulder.

"And I love you Juliette." Stefan said hugging her tight.

He kissed her forehead, and let her go.

That was the first time Stefan left Juliette.

FLASHBACK OVER:

Juliette shot up out of her sleep, and looked around. She saw her father sitting right next to her, stroking her hair.

"Are you alright?" Stefan asked.

Juliette nodded, and laid back down.

"You've been sleep all day Juliette." Elena explained.

"Ok." Juliette said.

"Here how about this. You come to school with me, I have someone I need to talk to." Stefan said picking up Juliette.

"No. I don't want to." Juliette stated.

"Mhm. Let's go my beautiful daughter." Stefan said putting Juliette over his shoulder.
