Enjoying everyday

Alone

I am an average girl that lives with my father and I attend to a high school called Midnight. I'm not much of a talkative person so I'm usually by myself. Well, I am part of the student council so I end up talking to people. I mean it's not like I don't like people but I just don't really like socializing, so most of the time if no one listens to me I could write a note to the staffs saying that there's students that are disobeying student council orders, but that has never happened. I was an average girl until that day.

It was after school, I was on my way walking home with my papers from my classes. That day I decided to take a detour to meet an abandoned puppy, but I don't think I'd be able to take the puppy with me. My father probably wouldn't let me since they're really loud. When I got to the puppy I saw someone else there. A boy just crouching in front of the puppy.

I thought to myself why was he here? How did he care for this puppy? I didn't recognize him, it didn't look like he was from around here. "Maybe he just moved here?" I say to myself. I didn't want to disturb him so I started to back up and leave. I headed to the cross walk and it was getting dark so I thought to myself I better hurry or my dad is gonna kill me.

I spaced out, not noticing my surroundings. Thinking to myself about that boy. All I remembered was suddenly being grabbed by my arm and pulled to the side of the road. I looked up and it was the boy from before, why was he here? I hear someone yell "What's wrong with you?!" "Are you crazy?!" I come back from spacing out and then it all turned black.

When I awoke I looked around to see that I was in a hospital bed with doctors and the boy from earlier. "Ma'am are you ok?" A doctor asked, I replied "Y-yea I'm fine." " Your lucky that this young man was there or you would've got killed." Says the doctor. After I was discharged I went outside and got startled when I saw the boy. He looks over to me coldly "You would've gotten ran over if I wasn't by you." I give him a big smile and say "Thank you for saving me." He blushes and turns the other way saying "I-it was nothing." I started to head home and noticed that my dad wasn't home so I walked to our front porch taking off my shoes. I head to the kitchen and take a glimpse at the table, I see a note on the table and decided to take a look. The note saying "I will be out of town for a year so there should be money next to the fridge, love dad." I wasn't shocked, I mean my dad does that every time for business trips, so I'm pretty used to it by now. I'm just really tired so I start to head to my room upstairs. I got myself ready for bed for school the next day.
