GET OFF ME! I hear my sister star yelling as my dad is hitting her like usually while I'm hiding upstairs under the bed trying to block out the noise. Then I hear foot step approaching the room and she it's my sister with blood all over her while in tears and no sound of my dad. I go down stairs and see my dad on the floor bleeding out and then she calls the cops and we wait.
40 minutes later
We've been in the police station for a while then a police officer comes up to us and tells us that we're being placed with our aunt that lives in California and then a hour later we see this we've never seen before and she was really pretty and she see us and gives us a big hug as we look at her with a blank ass stare.
Then we head to the airport and to head to California. "So what's your name's" Keisha says . We didn't saying any thing just looked at her . "Well my name is Keisha, y'all can call me auntie or auntie Keisha". I look up and say "my name is nakyrah " . And she smile then my sister says" my name is star". Then she hugs us and tell us that our life is gonna completely different worry free about money and eating and how she has a big house and 3 cars and about our new school but we weren't listening we were just focused on when we're gonna get there.
Nakyrah/ pov/ 30 Minutes later
Seeing my dad like that was traumatizing but a relieving because I was tired of him always beating on me and my sister . It's been 2 hours and we finally land and it takes another hour to get to her house. Then we finally arrive and she show us to our rooms. They look bigger than we usually and me and star are used to sleeping together so it was real different. So I just went straight to sleep because I was tired from all the drama.

Nakyrah just went to sleep and it's hard for me to go to sleep because Ihave the image of me killing my father in my head. Don'tget me wrong he abused me but me and murder don't get along well. But thank God me and nakyrah are safe now because that'swhatreally matters. But it's also hard because I'msoused to sleeping wit nakyrah so I'm just gonna go lay with her even tho I have my own room.
It's 6:00 in the morning and I hear a alarm go off and look back and see star there sonshe must have not been able to sleep. Then my aunt tells us to get dress because we're starting school today. And I was thing damn that fast she must of has everything prepare just in case . I tell her we have no clothes and she passes me to out for a one for me and star and a rag,toothbrush,and hair stuff.
Then I wake star up and tell her and she go gets in the shower and so do I in the bath room down stairs. And then put on my out for and do my hair and when I'm done my sister is in the kitchen eating a pop tart.

We arrive at the school and go inside to meet the principle and then me and star get start making our way to our classes before we're late.
Nakyrah/pov/ I walk into class and see hella people staring at me and I start to feel mad uncomftable. "Sit down tf you ain't never been in a class room before damn" says some girl, I don't even listen to her or respond I just sit down."leave her alone destiny damn with yo bald headed ass" some boy says. Then he tells me to sit next to him and tells me his name is Jayden.
Star/pov/ I walk inside and everybody's staring. "Danm she look good and she thick finna be ma new chick. Say some random boy. "She not all that" say some random girl . And I say "sis you wish you was me periodt"and she stayed quiet and rolled her eyes at me and I sat down.
3 periods later The bell rung and it finally time for lunch and I could ask star how she was doing. And ask her if she liked the school or not and to tell her about this girl I my class who could get popped of she keep her shit up. While I'm waiting I see that boy Jayden staring at me smiling hard ask.
Jayden/pov/ Nakyrah looks mad good I can't even stop think about when she first walked in class. I think I might be falling for this girl even tho I don't know her but I ain't gonna show it cause I'm a hood nigga and i ain't got time for no bitches now and days and because now and days these bitches ain't loyal anyway so I ain't missing nun but she do look good ask for no reason.
10 minutes later Star is finally here and we start talking and she tells me about this ugly ass girl in her class that was getting smart and some boy she thought was cute or whatever. Then some girls come up to us. "Hi I'm keyoni","And I'm shakyrah". They sit down and we start talking and they seem cool asl no cap there both in 11th garde like me and there mad pretty.
The day ends and and some girls come and aproach me and star asking us if there a problem saying how they wanna fight because they said we were supposeable talking about them at lunch then shakyrah and keyoni run over asking what the problem was . BOOM
