State of Gemini- Twin Trials

My Father

"I can't believe you, you make me have no life!" I said in a irritated tone. My father looks at me with a scowl on his face. "All you want to do is go to different states, that's forbidden! It has been since your grandmother passed and I took the throne." My father says sounding just as mad as I am.

My name is Jewl I am 15 years old. My mother had my name picked out sense she found out I was a girl. She died as soon as I was born, so the only parent I have ever known is my father. He is so controlling he never lets me leave my home of Gemini.

"Jewl!!!" My father yelled. ''Yes?!" "Come downstairs its time for dinner!" "Ok!"

When I was at the table to eat he had a very cheesy smile. Like he was forcing it which was normal for him since we just got out of a argument. He thinks the smile will make me forget. But really it make me remember a lot better.

"Why can't you just let me go?" I asked aggravated. "Jewl, honey you can not go, you can not leave Gemini or this house It is to dangerous!" He yelled back more aggravated then I was. "Why?! You tell me I can't go but never tell me why!" "Jewl we made a treaty, why can't you just drop it and leave it... Take no for an answer for once!" My father yelled more aggravated then before. "You won't let me have a life! I have to stay and..!" I yelled back. "Jewl that's enough!''Benjamin yelled back. I stormed out of the room.

My dads first name was Benjamin. He never speaks about anything that happened during the ten years of war. All I want to do is explore. He won't even let me leave the house without a body guard and not just like one, I mean people all around me, I cant even see outside there is so many bodyguards around me.

"Jewl! Come back downstairs this minute!" My father yelled from downstairs. "Why should I?! I have no fun with you all we do is argue!" I yelled back at him.

No one knows why mom died it was very sudden. I was born and the scale was fine then it stopped. My father had nothing to do with me for the first month that I was born. He said I was a mirror image of her. All though I don't know what she looked like, she didn't like pictures very much. Not even on there wedding day. I miss her so much, I know I never met her but still she's my mom and I sometimes wonder what it would have been like if she hadn't died or if I got to spend just a little bit of my life with her. Gotten to know her a little and see what she looked like. That may be why my father never lets me leave the house because my mother died as soon as I was born. Our house is a decent size its not big but its not small either.

"Madam?"

That is the housekeeper, her name is Maggie. She is as close as I will ever get to a mother.

"Yes?" I said in a very calm and polite tone.

"Your father...." I didn't let Maggie finish.

"I don't want to talk to him." I said kind of loud.

"Jewl... he has something for you." Maggie said in a very kind tone.

Oh this will be good I thought to myself sarcastically. Normally when he gets me something its not a something its a someone like a new bodyguard, the last one I had quit because he got mad, saying he came to work everyday not being able to do or go anywhere. Well welcome to my life buddy. Of course I never said that to him, talk about getting in trouble. I excepted my father would not leave me alone until he got his way, so I cleaned myself up and went downstairs.

"Jewl, I apologize for yelling." My father said in a very sincere tone. "It's fine." I said trying to be nice. "Maggie said you needed me?" I said a little aggravated. "Oh yes that's right!" He said his apologetic face turning into a big smile. "Joeka! Bring the gift!" For those of you who don't know Joeka is one of the many guards and room service people we have. Joeka then came out with a big box that had little holes inside it.

"Jewl, I had got this for you a while ago but we just now got him." My father said in a very happy and calm tone. "Sir, the box is getting a bit heavy." Joeka said in a strained voice. "What is it?" I asked in a very eager voice. "We haven't quite given him a name yet but... Joeka go ahead and let him out." My father said with a ginormous smile on his face. Joeka opened the box and a small puppy came running out and ran right into my arms. "Oh my goodness!!" Maggie yelled out. She could not help herself but to drop her things to run over and pet the puppy. I couldn't blame her I would have done the same. The puppy just started licking and jumping on me and Maggie. I could not help myself but brake down in a smile and laugh so hard I started to cry. I had always dreamed of my father getting me a puppy. I never once thought he would actually get me one.

"So Jewl what are you gonna name him?" My father asked with a smile so big it might has well just jump off his face and be its own. "What about Cisco?" I said in a happy voice. "Cisco?" My father said a bit confused. I'm say this is a very happy but also irritated voice. "You know Cisco Ramon?? From Flash??" "Oh Cisco!! From that show you watch." My father said not sounding as confused. "Cisco, Jewl really?" Maggie said with a smile on her face "Yes really! He's my favorite character!" I shouted in a playful tone. "Ok sounds good." Both my father and Maggie said at the same time. "Come here Cisco!" Maggie shouted, I have never seen her this happy before. I think Cisco will do a good in all of us. Before Maggie could repeat his name he went running towards her. "I think Cisco likes his name huh J?" Said Joeka.

As my father said this he was very happy but a little worried at the same time. "So Jewl, you think we should go shopping for him?" My eyes lit up and my happiness just got ten times better and I said " Wait really?? Like out of the house?" My fathers smile got bigger as he said, " Yes!!! Out of the house, I mean why not?"
When we got back home I was so exhausted and excited at the same time. I could not believe that I got to leave the house and get a dog it was the best day of my life, Maggie came up stairs and told me to get ready for bed. As I did Cisco started getting comfortable with his new toys and bed. When I went to sleep I fell asleep almost immediately.
