There were heavy but soft sounding footsteps, like those of a large man in a mascot costume, coming down the hall quickly. "I have to run. No, I have to hide." He thought, slowly limping down the hall, looking between the rooms. Eventually He stops at a pitch black room, "Perfect" he thought, "No way he can find me in here." He goes in as far as he goes, brushing past buckets and mops. It was a janitor closet, so it wasn't that big. He hid behind a trash bin and a mop bucket. The footsteps stop at the door, it slowly creaking open to reveal the tall standing yellow bunny suit. "Nice try, but you forgot that I built this place." A deep voice echos from the suit, and the last thing he sees is a large yellow paw extending towards him.

Jacob jolted up from his bed, cold sweat running down his face. It was the fifth time this week he's had that nightmare. He checks his phone and sees its only 3 am. "You've gotta be kidding me..." He groans and falls back onto his bed, which creaks. He tells it to shut up. "Ive lost so much sleeeeep." Jacob closes his eyes and tries to fall asleep, and just as he begins to drift theres a loud crash from somewhere in the house. He gets up with furious motion, charging to his door but not before tripping over his phone charger. He catches himself from having his face plunge straight into his dresser. "Which ever cat that was I am going to mur-" He stops when opens the door and sees all five sitting in the hallway. "Alright, I guess it was the dog..." As if on cue, the dog starts barking madly. " Thunder, jesus! Calm down!" He goes down, the dog is at the door, barking loudly.

Wait.

"What happened to the door?!" Jacob goes down and investigates the large hole in the front door, stepping over large pieces of wood on his way over. Peering through gives an even grimmer sight. The screen door was down on the sidewalk, except you can barely tell that it was a door anymore with how mangled it is. Eventually everyone else in the house was up and in the living room.

About ten minutes after the last person arrives, the police arrive and starts questioning everyone. One starts questioning Jacob. "What did you see?" He says, holding the usual pad of paper and a pen. Jacob tells hin everything, that he didn't see who did it but that he saw the aftermath. After about an hour, the first officer that arrived sits everyone down. "Our best assumption is an attempted breaking and entering." They all nod, and all officers leave but her. She waits for the last to leave, then turns back to them. "Except I know better." They look at her in confusion.

"Im Officer Janet Furth, and I've been following the case on those missing persons recently..." She sighs and goes to the window, leaning on the radiator. "All of the houses they were taken from? The front or back door were broken just like that." Jacobs mothers eyes widen in fear. "So that means..." Janet looks back at them. "Yes, one of you were the intended target." They start looking between each other. The light of dawn starting to pour into the house. "I should get going, you all should to get to your daily routines." She gives Jacobs mom her number incase anything else happens. Jacob slowly sulks up the steps to get ready for school, and on his way up he looks out the window in the stairwell. What he sees sends his heart through the floor. "Whats wrong?" Megan, Jacobs sister, says fron behind him. He says nothing as he looks at her. After a brief moment of silence, he manages to say, "I just saw Bonnie in the backyard." She shakes her head. "You're tired, you're hallucinating." He goes to look back out, but what he saw was gone. "Yeah...that's probably it."
