(because I'm having extreme writer's block...any advice?)
Extended Summary:
I grew up learning that everyone had a story. Each day in their life was a page, each chapter, a month, each edition, a year. I never understood what the analogy meant until later in my teenage years. Until then, I was taught to be respectful to girls, despite their cooties, and not to talk back to my teachers. My parents would tell me to treat everyone the same, play no favorites and cast no judgements. You know the whole, don't judge someone unless you've walked a mile in their shoes, type of thing.
I thought I was happy. The path I traveled along was smooth, there were no bumps. Well, not until I met her. Her, as in, the one. The one I wanted to love until the end of time, but also the one that made me want to shoot someone on occasion. She frustrated me to no end, and I hated her for it.
Despite the chaos that she brought to my life, she also brought organization. Her mood depended on the day, and unfortunately, I couldn't understand it until it was too late. She was a rollercoaster, and unlike Augustus Waters, her life didn't only go up. I had a front-row seat on her ride of ups-and-downs, twists-and-turns, and loop-de-loops.
In spite of it all, Taryn Williams was a gem. She woke me up, and for that I'll be forever grateful.
