Jerry Cantrell × Stone Gossard
Point of View: Stone Gossard

I heard three knocks on the door. I remembered Jerry saying that if anyone knocked to "expect it to be him." - but I didnt budge from my spot on my bed.

I then heard the jingling of keys, as Jerry (I'd assume) started to unlock my door. He must've had an extra key.

I started to get up, then I realized I only had my boxers on, so I stayed hidden under the covers, hoping he wouldnt get too close and see me, as I pretended to still be asleep.

I must've fucking jinxed myself, because Jerry came right up to my bed.

"Are you really still asleep?" He said with a chuckle, as he nudged my arm.

I faked a groan, as if I had just woken up, and was still tired, then said, "Yes- but not anymore." I opened my eyes and looked up at him. "How are you up so early?" I said, as I pulled the covers up to my chin.

"Cause I'd like to get to breakfast early." He said, chuckling again. "Come on man, gotta get up." He said, as he yanked the covers off of me.

Both of our eyes went wide. Mine did cause I couldnt believe he just did that, and I think his did because he realized I only had my boxers on.

My face got hot when I saw him look me up and down. I felt weird, laying there cause i couldn't cover up, as a man I had just met last night glanced at my almost bare body.

Jerry cleared his throat, then threw the blanket back over me. "Get dressed kid. Come next door when you're done. Well go get breakfast, then I'll teach you some shit." He walked to the door, and before he shut it behind him, he said, "Breakfast is on me. Dont worry about having to pay for your own meal."

I hurried up and got dressed. I tucked my hair behind my ears, and put a hat on. I walked to Jerrys door and knocked.

"Come in Stone!" I heard Jerry yell.

I smiled to myself, then opened up the door. "How'd you know its me?" I asked him. He was sitting on the floor with a pick in his mouth. He had on shorts, combat boots, and a black button up shirt, that was a little over halfway undone.

"You're the only person that stops by now. Plus- I was expecting you." He said, as he turned off his amp, and set the pick on top of it.

I smiled at myself as he stood up. "Ready?" Jerry asked me.

"Yea." I told him.

We sat in silence in the car, then arrived to a small coffee shop, and ordered. I got two pancakes and a cheap coffee, and he got eggs, bacon, toast, and sausage.

"Food good?" Jerry asked me.

I smiled at him, and held up a thumbs up. After I finished chewing, I said, "Yea, it's good. Thank you Jerry."

"No problem, kid." He said back. "So I kinda bought you breakfast to ease the bad news."

"Bad news?" I asked, furrowing my brows at him.

"You said you were 18, right?" He asked me.

"Uhm- yea I'm 18."

"The dumb ass people at the music Bank said I cant keep you in your own room because you're under 20 years old." Jerry explained to me.

"O-oh well I could just go home. I can get rides from my mom or take a bus or something." I told him.

"Wait, you still live at home?" He asked with a chuckle.

"Uhm- yes I do. I'm comfortable there."

"Well I was thinking you could stay in my little apartment at the Music Bank? Itll save you trips. Plus itll only be a few weeks man- long enough for me to teach you some things."
