chapter 3

it was now lunch time and  i sat under a small dogwood tree. i opened up my bag of chips and began eating. when hunter slowly aproched. i looked at him and he smialled relizing that it was me.

"do you mind if i eat lunch with you?" he asked. i was in utter shock i mean i told him i was an invisable so why does he want to eat with me?

"uh...sure" i said to him still in shock. he pulled a rice crispy treat out of his bag and broke it in half. he handed me half.

"thanks but you dont have to feed me i have food" i said trying to give it back.

" no i want you to have it because you are my only friend at this school" he said to me looking at his feet. it immediatly brought tears to my eyes because it made me think of justin. a few tears escaped my eyes and hunter looked at me with sorrow in his eyes.

"was it something i said i mean if you dont want to be my friend its ok" he said looking at his hands. its not his fault i just miss justin so much and i would love hunter to be my friend.

"no, no i want to be your friend i just havent had a friend since...since.. well my last friend." i said not even wanting to say justins name because i knew if i did i would start really crying.

"im sorry but do you mind if i asked what happend to this friend?" he said curiously and ginuinlly careing.

"umm.. im not ready to talk about it but i will tell you some other time like when im ready to talk about it" i said looking right into his beutiful bright green eyes. his staring back into my crystal blue ones.

the bell rang and we stod up. he gave me a hug it was so warm and nice. the first one in a whole year. i never want to let go but i knew i had to. we walked our seprate ways. as the day went on i had one other class with hunter. after the day was over i left the class room and started walking home when i had my shoulder tapped. i turned around and stode face to face with jessica my old bully.

"hello" she said to me.

"what do you want' i spat back to her.

"to do this" and with that her fist conected with my jaw. i winced in pain. but i dident hit back. i wanted to hit back but i dident want to stoope down to her level.

"what was that for" i said with a calm voice.

"i dont know just felt the need to do that"she said smirking. she swong her fist again. i cought it and wispered in her ear. "leave me alone jessica i dont want to hurt you" i said in a thretning tone.i threw her wrist down and she walked off. i started walking again. i was tapped on the shoulder again. i was thining it was jessica so i turned around and gave an innoyed sound. but when i saw who it was my face lite up it was hunter my 'friend'.

"hey whats up" he said

"nothing much just walking home do you live around hear?" i asked

"ya right down the road" he said

"cool me to we can walk together."i told him

we walked till we got to my house. i told him this is my house and that he should stop by when he is board and he gave me his adress. we hugged again and i skipped into my house going straight to my room.l grabbed my picture of justin and laid on my bed and starred at the picture. "hey justin, guess what. i get a new friend today. his name is hunter if you were here you would love him he is so nice and careing. you would be soo proud of me i miss you so much. jessica punched me in the jaw. i love you and miss you so much just remember that" with that i put the picture back in its spot and got out my drawing book and began doodling dark figures.
