"Max! Time to get up and ready for school." Max groans as he rolls over his bed onto his feet. He walks into the bathroom and begins to wash his face and looking into the mirror as he sighs to himself before speaking softly, "Time for other day in hell".
Walking back to his room he starts to get dressed for school before he heads down the stairs to the kitchen. " hey mom." "Hi sweetie, I made you some toast, you need to eat today sweetie please." Max grabs a piece of toast as he takes a bite before looking up at his mother and showing a small smile. "Bye mom, I'm leaving for the bus now, see you after school."
Max slightly shouting to his mother as he walks out the front door to head to his bus stop. He slides his headphones in as he slides his hands into his sweater pockets, standing in place as a few kids start to surround him to wait for the same bus. Max hears the kids laughing around him and he tries to push it off as he knows they are probably laughing at him. The bus finally arrives as Max steps to the side to let everyone get on before he does. Slowly going up the steps he looks around at the seats to find an empty one, noticing there's one in the back of the bus. He walks to the seat as he moves over to the window, resting his head against the window as he begins to chew on the inside of his cheek.
The bus stopping at the bus stops as kids start to fill the seats of the bus. All of a sudden, Max looks over as he feels someone sit down beside him as he see's someone he never has seen on the bus before. It was a girl, such a beautiful girl. She had a black pixie haircut, green eyes, beautiful pale skin as freckles covered it. Max moves as close as he can to the window so the girl could have more room.
Finally the bus gets to the school and the kids start to get off. "Have a great day." the girl said to Max before she got out the seat. Max looks up at the girl and flashes her a slight smile as he just nods his head. As the day goes by Max debates if he wants to skip forth period or not as he wants to avoid the group of kids who always make fun on him. He see's the principal in the halls as he quickly changes his mind and heads off to the class. As he walks into the class he looks over at the kids and sighs to himself.
He begins to walk down the tables and one of the kids puts out his foot and causes Max to trip over it. As Max falls he hears everyone starting to laugh at him before he see someone standing in front of him. He looks up as he see's the girl from the bus holding out her hand to help him off the ground. He thinks to himself for a moment before he grabs her hand and pulls himself up off the ground. "Come sit with me" the girl says with a smile at Max. He follows her to the table as they both take a seat across from each other. "Hey, I'm Emma." Max looks at her before speaking "um I'm Max, thanks for that by the way." "No need to thank me but what was that about? Seems like they don't really like you" "No one likes me in this world. I'm hated by everybody." Max says as he let's out a small sigh. "Hey now! Don't say that, not everyone hates you. I don't hate you." "You don't really know me Emma." "Well Max, let me get to know you."
The school bell rings as Max quickly gets up and walks out the class. The school day being over as he heads to the bus to go home. Getting on the bus as he heads to the same seat as this morning. Emma takes a sit next to him as she turns to him, " hello Max." "Hey Emma." Max says as his voice breaks a little. "Well Max, are you going to let me get to know you because I really would like too." "Why do you want to get to know me, Emma?" "Well Max, I thought maybe we could be friends." "You would want to be friends with me? The outcast?" Max asked Emma in shocked. "Of course I would, you know Max we are probably more alike than you think" she said to him with a smile before it came her stop and she left. Max thought to himself how someone like her would want to be friends with him let alone even talk to him. His stop came as he got off the bus and headed home.
His mother greeting him as he walked through the front door. "Hey sweetie, how was school?" "Just like every other day mom, just peachy." His mother sighed, " Why don't you ever talk to me Max? Ever since the night of your accident you never talk to me anymore, you never even told me why you did it." Max turned to his mom as he raised his voice slightly at her " just leave me alone about it, I don't want to talk." He headed up to his room as he slammed the door behind him. The next morning came as he did his usual routine of getting ready for school, being excited that it's finally Friday.
