Pencils are common objects. Almost everyone has one and they even come in different colors and shades. You can tell by looking at one how often it is used or even what it is used for. Bite marks show that the person using the pencil is a thinker. A well-worn eraser shows that one may be a perfectionist or make many mistakes. A short pencil shows it has been used a good bit, maybe in writing or drawing. My pencil reflects my life in that I love to create, strive for perfection, and am a careful thinker.
Art is a major part of my life. It is an outlet for my stress and creativity. It reflects my moods. Dark subjects reflect depression or anger. Bright colors reflect a cheerful moment. I started drawing at a very young age. When I was 5, I wanted to be a Disney animator. However, this dream has always felt like a carrot in front of a donkey, a prize I cannot reach. This did not stop me. I continued to draw and create what were masterpieces to me.
Perfection is a goal we all strive for. To be honest, it is hard. Many mistakes will be made. Though there is not an eraser for life, I can learn from the mistakes I have made. "Practice makes perfect." If I practice the things I want to better, then they will become more perfect to me.
Before anyone starts a project or plans to make changes, thinking is the first step. Many find it useful to put their pencil to paper as a way to help them plan or even think. I do the same. Every line I draw, letter I write, or action I take is done with careful thinking. Sometimes, my thoughts do not come as smoothly as I would like them too. Nonetheless, with a figurative pencil to paper, my thoughts trickle onto a virtual art pad.
As you can see my pencil is small. I have used it to create, perfect, and think. Will all this end once the pencil has completed its tasks? No, it will not. This pencil is a tool in my life's toolbox. Once it has reached its end, I will retire it and get a new one. Only time will tell what great things will come from it, just like me.

RandomWe had to write an essay in class how our life relates to an object I decided on my pencil. ^_^ Here is the pencil I spoke of: https://www.deviantart.com/pharaohslady/art/The-Pencil-278382440
