Finally, the long-awaited 1st chapter is out!

(Y/n) pov.

In 2022, humanity has finally created a completely virtual environment and guess what? My father made it! I sat down on the couch, opened my Laptop and put on my (F/c) Headphones. Scrolling through the News, I finally found the MMO Stream and turned it on. "It's time for this weeks MMO Stream.", announced a Woman. "We began with a promotional Video. Was this the day of last week's launch? What were all these people waiting for?" Pictures of enormous waiting lines started to appear. "Sword Art Online!",the high pitched voice continued. "The ones at the front of the line waited for three days before launch. Amazing! Or is this just what any real gamer would do? On today's MMO Stream, we'll be covering the internationally famous Sword Art Online, AKA SAO! None of the NerveGear released so far has taken advantage of the hardware. But SAO was made by the NerveGear inventor, Kayaba Akihiko and it's a long-awaited VR MMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game). I can't wait! The beta testers all said it was incredible. I wanted a copy... Only 10.000 copies were sold in the first printing. It sold out online in seconds. And as you saw, hardcore fans bought all the Store copies." That annoying girl kept on talking for what felt like an eternity and for one moment I asked myself 'Why did I even think to turn the Stream on might be a good idea?'. Well, whatever. I went up to my room, put the NerveGear on my head and laid down on my heavenly soft king size bed. After taking a deep breath, I activated the game with the words "Link Start." In the game, I looked around scanning the faces of the other players while a thought crossed my mind. I wonder how they look in RL. Already knowing the game, I purchased the best weapons and armor you could get as a starter and made my way to the West Field a bit farther from town. It surprised me when I saw two male players already fighting the monsters,  so I decided to approach them. "Excuse me. Could I join your little training?", I asked while trying my best not to sound too curious. Their attention turned to me,  and the red-haired boy grinned like an idiot. "Of course you can! Right, Kirito?", he answered and pushed the blue haired one with his elbow. "Yeah, I guess.", he replied while rubbing his neck with his hand, which seemed to be a habit. Excited because they let me join I properly introduced myself. "Really?! Thanks! My name is (U/n). I am a beta tester. It's a pleasure to meet you... uhm..." "I'm Kirito. Beta tester. This is Klein he asked me to help him.", the blue haired guy said pointing to him and then to the other. "Hate to interrupt, but I have to get going. I ordered a pizza for 5:30!", he kind of proudly declared. I couldn't help myself and just started chuckling. "Prepared huh?", I brought out between my laughter. Klein gave me a thumbs up and turned around to log out quickly. "Huh? There's no log out button.", he stated confused. After trying to find out what's happening, the two of them started to panic. Suddenly we glowed in blue light and were warped to the Town of Beginnings. The 10.000 players were utterly confused but soon turned their attention to the red warning sign in the sky. The sing began to duplicate, and in the blink of an eye, the whole area was covered. Then my father appeared in the form of his vast hooded GM (Game Master) skin. "Attention, players." Dad started his speech as if everything was normal. "Welcome to my world. My Name is Kayaba Akihiko. As of this moment, I am the sole person who can control this world. I'm sure you've already noticed that the log out button is missing from the main menu. But this is not a defect in the game. I repeat. This is not a defect in the game. It is a feature of Sword Art Online. You can not lock out of SAO yourselves. And no one on the outside can shut down or remove the NerveGear. Should this be attempted, the transmitter inside the NerveGear will emit a powerful microwave, destroying your brain and thus ending your life." Now everyone was either scared or deeply in thought. I could hear Kirito explaining to Klein that this is possible while trying to figure out a way to escape. Before anyone could properly process what was happening my father continued. "Unfortunately, several player's friends and families have ignored this warning and attempted to remove the NerveGear. As a result, 213 players are gone forever, from both Aincrad and the real world. But I want you to remember this clearly. There is no longer any method to revive someone within the game. If your HP drops to zero, your avatar will be forever lost. And simultaneously, the NerveGear will destroy your brain. There are only two means of escape. One, complete the game. You are presently on the lowest floor of Aincrad, Floor 1. If you make your way through the dungeon and defeat the Floor Boss, you may advance to the next level. Defeat the final Boss on Floor 100, and you will clear the game. Two, somewhere among you 9.787 players stands my precious daughter. It is her job to oversee the front lines. Furthermore, she created the Mental Health Counseling Program 001 (Yui-MHCP001). My dear smart (Y/n), I hereby give you the power to save one player, be it yourself or any other." "That sounds way to easy. You simply have to be the first one to find her.", Klein exclaimed. Kirito seemed way to concentrated. "It's almost impossible. She never showed herself in public; rumors say that she sits in a wheelchair. Also, there's not a single picture of her on the internet, but even if we knew how she looks the decision to use the power is still her's. She might never use it." Kirito's analysis was correct the chance to get saved by me is way beyond small. You could even say that it doesn't exist. "Finally, I've added a present from me to your item storage. Please see for yourselves." Everyone did as my father told them to. The 'present' was a mirror that transformed every skin to their owner appearance. Dad knows me too well. He probably knew exactly what I was thinking.

Kirito Pov.

After the blue light of the transformation faded there stood a breathtakingly beautiful girl next to Klein and me. Her (H/l) (H/c) hair perfectly framed her (S/c) body and her eyes glittered in a hypnotizing (E/c). "...rito...Kirito...KIRITO!!" Her voice snapped me out of my trance. Shit, was I staring? "I asked you if you're alright.", she said while blushing. "Yeah, I am. WAIT?! (U/n) is that you?!" She slightly nodded. Before I could ask her more questions, Kayaba proceeded with his speech. "Right now you're probably wondering, 'Why?'. Why would Kayaba Akihiko, developer of Sword Art Online and the NerveGear, do all this? My goal has already been achieved. I created Sword Art Online for one reason. To create this world and intervene in it. And now, it is complete. This concludes the tutorial for the official Sword Art Online launch. Good luck, players." The scream of a young girl reminded everyone of the seriousness of this situation. The people started shouting for Kayaba's daughter, but she didn't seem to show herself. I decided to drag (U/n) and Klein into an alley and explained my plan to them. Klein declined my offer to come with me. "And you (U/n)?", I asked her. Her usually bright smile faded for a moment. After a short pause, she decided to speak. "I ..."
