Life flows along
And everyone swims the currents
Too afraid to go backwards
Too challenged to stop
But one isn't the same
One won't follow this game
I see the patterns
I want to be... something...
Unique
Different
Special
Something in me calls out
Something in me desires
To find what everyone else is missing
So that I may find what humanity has lost
And return to that which was
That which no one else has found
That which no else is.
I want to be me.
Different
Special
Unique
And in me is an ocean
With a storm, constant and raging
I ride that storm
I am one with its waves and winds
Sometimes I go under
But then I become one with the sea
Sometimes I'm elated
But those heights can be dizzying
Special
Unique
Different
Me
I want to be me.
Because who will I be
If not me?
But something I don't want to admit.
Secretly, deep down,
I do not wish the same
For everyone else.
