The ginger tom pressed his body against the tight rocks, squeezing through the thin ravine. A pale tabby she-cat pushed the tom, hissing. The tom wheezed when he he slipped. He turned his nose up to the cold wind, rain pouring down. The she-cat yowled and shoved the tom again. The tom moaned and growled, not able to turn his head in the tight ravine. The she-cat growled, "Flowerkit is going ill, she's gonna catch a chill if you you don't move faster! Cedargorse, you mouse brain!" the she-cat finally kicked Cedargorse with her fore paw. Cedargorse yowled, falling down. The she-cat couldn't let her kit get between her so she sighed. The she-cat gasped "Flowerkit, crawl over me then ahead of your father. " The kit looked up at her mother, not realizing her mother couldn't turn. The kit groaned, "But mama, I mean Dandlionfeather, father-" Dandelionfeather snapped over a clap of thunder. Flowerkit screeched, covering herself with her paws. Dandelionfeather roared and kneeded the earth. Flowerkit nodded and clanged onto her mother's tail. Flowerkit was the only cat who could walk throught that tight ravine easily. In fact, she could probably even jump. Dandleionfeather pulled up her kit onto her back then stood as still as she could. With a grumpy moan, Cedargorse growled low. Cedargorse listened to Flowerkit's quiet squeaks. The thunder and flashes of lightning died but rain still poured hard. Dandelionfeather carefully but quickly ducked so the kit could walk across her father. The tortoise-shell kit leaped onto the stone of the ravine gracefully. Cedargorse wheezed and looked at his kit. The kit turned to her father with loving eyes. Then Dandelionfeather opened her mouth to speak "Flowerkit. Do something brave for us. If you want to be the best warrior...get out of this ravine and prove yourself to Starclan." the she-cat said warmly. Flowerkit gazed up at her mother then down at her wheezing father. The curious kit nosed Cedargorse then looked at her mother once more. The wind blew hard as rain sprayed into Dandelionfeather's coat. Flowerkit sat down then meowed "What about you and father..Cedargorse?" Dandelionfeather sighed longingly. Cedargorse shut his eyes then opened them dimly. The kit backed away, nervously. Flowerkit hissed, but pain flared in her eyes. Sadness struck her like lightning. Dandelionfeather nodded her head, bending low, her fur brushing against the stone. The large, thin she-cat mewed raspy like to the kit "It's the only way. Do it for us." she purred. Flowerkit shook her head wildly, yowling "No! I can't lose you and father!" the kit stomped her paws, her pupils large with worry. Dandelionfeather stared hard at her kit. Cedargorse's head lifted slightly, Flowerkit nosing his cheek. Flowerkit then sat up. She nodded up at her mother, realizing small pebbles trickled down the walls of the ravine. Dandelionfeather crouched down just like Cedargorse was doing then whispered "Go". Flowerkit nodded, holding in a yowl of anxiety. Then the kit turned and began running through the ravine, getting ready to unsheathe her claws. Flowerkit hopped up and dug her claws into the combination of mud and stone. Her pelt and stomach was covered in rain and mud. Flowerkit heaved herself up the dirt, using the sticky mud to climb to a branch, sticking out. She gasped as a small rock hit her face, scraping her nose. Dandelionfeather finally fell, her vision blurry. Flowerkit held onto the branch, climbing to look down at her mother. Dandelionfeather ducked her head into Cedargorse's leg muttering the word she had said, go. Dandelionfeather braced herself as rocks began rolling down the other side of the ravine. Flowerkit noticed and began to yowl to warn her mother and father. Her mother nodded then looked up as the rain clouds revealed the moon. Dandelionfeather thought to herself, Starclan is calling me and Cedargorse. It is time we join our ancestors. Flowerkit was now on the soft grass. She couldn't bare watching her parents perish.
Flowerkit was in the nursery with another kit's mother. A she-kit hopped around her, repetitively saying she was going to be a warrior. Flowerkit growled and turned to the side. The other kit was beginning to get on Flowerkit's nerves. Flowerkit stood up and yowled "Will you stop, Quietkit? Your name isn't very fitting." Flowerkit hissed. Quietkit stopped prancing then sat down, her eyes very bored. Quietkit then flopped onto the floor and wrapped her tail around her leg. Flowerkit shook her head in annoyance. Quietkit's mother padded up to Flowerkit and licked her shoulder. The tall queen purred with amusement "I'm sure you can get used to us." she purred. Flowerkit shook her head in disagreement then spat, walking away from the queen. Flowerkit curled up then glared hard at the she-cat "Curlwhisker, I'm never going to be a part of your family." Flowerkit tucked her head into her paws. She shut her eyes then woke up on soft grass, silverpelt glaring in a night sky. Flowerkit raised her head once she noticed this. Then she saw the slim comforting shape of Dandelionfeather. But she could see right through her, her pelt color invisible. Dandelionfeather padded up to Flowerkit then whispered "Tell me, what happened in the rock fall" then the she-cat vanished, even the grass disappearing under Flowerkit. She felt like she was in the air but then everything around her went black.
