Ever
"My mama told me when I was young, we are all born superstars. She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on, in the glass of her boudoir." I strut along the stage line, my friends dancing in front of the stage to my amateur voice. Throwing in strange dance moves I thought went with the song, and I caught Damien dancing next to Thistle. "I'm beautiful full in my way, 'cause god makes no mistakes I'm on the right track baby I was born this way! Don't hide yourself in regret, just love yourself and your set. I'm on the right track baby, I was born this way!" Everyone was cheering for me when I finished the song, Luna and Thistle tackle me in a giant hug. We all walk out holding each other at the hips, Damien was following at our heels with his million dollar grin still spread across his lips.
The song stuck in my head, eventually Luna and Thistle left us to go get ice cream. Damien had decided to walk me up to my doorstep to say goodbye, "I had a great time, and you have a great voice." I blush, "Maybe we can do something tomorrow, like go out for lunch?"
I smiled, "Of course, I would love that."
He shifts uncomfortably, then looks my straight in the eye. His left hand caresses the back of my neck and his right hand pulls me closer to him. Our lips touch sending off fireworks, our lips were gentle as my arms slowly circled around his neck. He pulled away breathless, my heart was racing. Our eyes locked on each others, this time when our lips collided there was an urgency to it. Hunger for him, and his hunger for me was I all could think of. There was no other guy it had to be him.
We slowly drifted apart from each other both trying to catch our breath, "G-Good night." He said and hurriedly walked away.
I step inside my house and shut the wooden door, I slide down the door to the floor. "Wow." Is the only thing I can get out of my mouth, and he was the only thing on my mind. I manage to get up the stairs and into my bed without of falling, Thistle and Luna will definitely want to hear about this.
~The next morning~
My alarm clock radio goes of to the song of Born this way by Lady Gaga, I bolt upright in my bed and hit the snooze button. Memories of last night fill my brain, "We kissed. We freaking kissed." I giggled like a little school girl, and jump up. I turn on my computer and power up my play list, the first song blaring out of the speakers is 'What the Hell' by Avril Lavigne. It went so perfectly with me right now, and I was digging it. I sang along with the lyrics, I throw one of my old mid-drift tees, some fish net tights, a pair of ripped shorts and high top converse. I didn't look as good as Avril Lavigne but I looked damn good.
I was just about to walk out the door when I almost forgot about my and Damien's lunch date, I look at the time. "11:06!" I grab Papa's car keys and jump into the old beater, my driving skills were little to be had but I still made it to the diner we agreed on in one piece. I see him pull up in a sleek black Porsche, "Damn I wish I was that rich..." I whisper
"Hey you made it...." He looks me up and down and smiles, "I like the look, is it new?"
I shrug and laugh, "Relatively." I open the door, I gesture him in. "After you." I say, he glides in with grace I never had. I follow behind him as he picks a booth for us to sit in.
A tall brunette waitress walks up, "What can I get you two to- Ever?" I look up at the sound of my name, it was Sherilyn Hilgard. My lifetime enemy since she stabbed me in the back with a pencil when we were in 1st grade, I still had the lead in my back. Since then her and Brenda had become the best of friends. I wave hi, she plaster on a fake smile that I can see straight through. "What can I get you two?"
Damien smiles, "I don't think you can get us anything." He grabs my arm and runs out of the diner, we're laughing by the time we reach the street corner.
"Why'd you do that?" I laugh, Damien shrugs. I put my hands on my hips waiting for an answer.
He sighs, "I could sense you were uncomfortable, plus the diner was expensive. Seriously 10 dollars just for a grilled cheese, I could make 20 sandwiches with that money." I laugh and walk hand in hand with him down the sidewalk, "So, what do you want to do for the rest of the day? We could catch one of the movies in the theater, like Inception 2 or maybe Romeo and Juliet."
I give Damien a weird look, "You're willing to watch a chick flick that probably by the end of the movies all the couples are gonna be makin' out or havin' sex in the back of the theater?" He shrugs, "Let's see Inception 2, it's probably not as good as the first one though." Like a gentleman when we get to the theater he buys my ticket and we decide to share a huge tub of popcorn.
~After the movie~
"Gotta admit you were right about the whole 'the sequel isn't as good as the original' thing." He states I laugh, "But did you here that guy yell, 'I told you not to go in there!' God that was hilarious!" I smile and kiss the back of his hand as we walk back to the diner where we had left our cars. "I'll see you soon, have a lovely rest of the night Ever." He gave me a huge hug and kissed my forehead, I get home in Papa's beater, shower, and lay in my bed thinking about when I would see him again. I was definately looking forward to then.
