There I was...on a Monday morning...in the UK....at 4 a.m....about to do a surgery.
One thing I can say is that I'm so tired. The flight had me jet lagged and I was up most of it reading rules and procedures in hospitals that only applied in the UK.
I was once again reading a hospital book in my temporary office when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in" I said.
The door opened to reveal Eddy Hearn . He had a cheeky smile on his face and 2 cups of coffee in his hands.
"Hey Erika how was your flight?"
"It was fine. Super long but I'm glad it arrived on time," I said.
"Here's some coffee"
"Thanks"
He fumbled with his hands in his lap as I sipped at my coffee. That's another thing he is good at other than negotiating.
"I just really appreciate you for doing this on such short notice", Eddy said.
"Eddy that is what I do. Remember you said I was the best so expect nothing less.
I think it's time I meet my patient before he goes under the knife. Shall we?"
I let him lead the way.
We walked into the private room as I was met with a familiar face. It's the handsome man I saw at church.
"Am I interrupting?" the man questioned as peeked inside the office.
