THE OLD CARMICHAEL HOUSE.
On Highland Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio, sometime in the 1950’s, lived a man who was in his early sixties. The man was named Benjamin Carmichael, a man known to be feared by many. Children and adolescents would avoid him unless they dared to approach him to make fun of his creepy, isolated nature. His house was old and decaying, just like him. The windows were chipped and his yard was covered in molding cherub statues. Rumors about him would spread like wildfire, until his neighbors were unable to distinguish what was reality opposed to the wack-job imagination of messed up kids. No one would have assumed that the scrawny, sickly-looking man would have skeletons in his closet.
