🌺Chapter Five: The Sun Will Be Guiding You🌺

Y/N POV

It's been... A long time since we've been home

Five, Delores and I have gotten used to it though. Every day we manage to scrounge up water and even coffee beans, a lot of coffee beans actually. But we found scraps, a few organisms I don't want to talk about...

I stumble off our mattress and stretch my body with a few pops of the joints. Five is already up like usual, he's talking to Delores. I was about to go say good morning when I heard him say

"Do I even wanna tell her" He mimicked "Yes I wanna tell her, but besides you(a figment of our imagination) we are the only people alive on earth. I don't want to make things weird if she doesn't feel the same"

"She does," I say for some strange reason

He looks at me wide-eyed but he still looks cute, he always looks cute

"Y-you heard all that" he stammer

I chuckle "Yeah, and unless there's someone else here that you didn't tell me about then please go ahead"

He stands up and walks over to me

"As much as I'd like to ask you out on a date, we can't exactly do much around here" he explains and I smirk at him

I wrap my arms around his neck and he smiles that megawatt smile "How about we skip to the part where you ask me to be your girlfriend?"

"Girlfriend isn't enough of a word to describe you, but it'll do," he says "Will you Y/N Hargreeves, be my girlfriend"

"Why not?" I joke and look into those eyes of his that almost seem to change color in different lighting. I lean into him and my lips press against his, at first, I'm gonna admit it did feel awkward at first. I mean neither of us had done this before but as we did this long we got more used to it and it just felt right.

This sounds weird but he tasted like coffee and it was kinda nice

I pull away and press my forehead against his and we are both grinning like madmen

"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that" Five says

'It's about time' Delores pipes up, I had kinda forgotten she was there

I wake up the next morning and Five is trying to start a fire. I walk up behind him and run my hands up and down his chest and wrapping my arms around his neck. I kiss his cheek and he smiles at me, then kisses my knuckles

"Good Morning Beautiful," Five says going back to his fire

I smirk "Hey Handsome"

For the first time in forever, we felt a little bit closer to normal kids. I sit down next to him and rest my head on his shoulder as he tried to make a flame

Suddenly sparks flew and the small piece of wood burned into a flame

"Hey, you did it!" You squeal and hug him
