"I hope you have a good reason to interrupt this."

"One of our drones transmitted video material that could be of your interest"

Darko raised an eyebrow and the girls behind him were clearly interested too. The worker proceeded to walk to Darko, handing him a white tablet with the mentioned video material on it.

He made a hand gesture and dismissed the worker. Jessica, Sabine and Katja gathered around Darko to see what's shown on the video.

|~Video~|

Linda was entering the Hollow Woods on Meteor in a fast pace, she's seemingly in a hurry. [H/N] ran beside her and frantically looked around him/her before focusing on the track again.

It was a little foggy and the drone lost Linda in the mist a few times, but always found her again. She didn't noticed she was being followed, neither did Meteor nor [H/N].

All of a sudden [H/N] stopped and his/her ears pierced into every direction, so did his/her head. Linda stopped Meteor and dismounted him, running up to [H/N] and trying to calm the horse. The drone was too far away to record what was being said.

[H/N] dashed off towards the Silversong River. Linda was quick to react and hopped onto Meteor, following [Y/N]'s horse close behind.

[H/N] stopped in front of the river. He/She threw his head up and sniffed the air, taking in all the various scents. The drone's sensitive microphone was now close enought to record voices.

"Good boy/girl. Find her." Linda encouraged [H/N]. The hysteric horse started running again and ran deeper into the woods. [H/N] snorted wildly as he/she followed the invisible path leading to [Y/N].

After a while footprints appeared on the muddy ground. Linda dismounted Meteor and started to inspect them. [H/N] bend his/her head down and snuffled on the foot-like imprints on the ground.

"It could be [Y/N]'s shoe size." [H/N] looked at Linda and bickered.

The atmosphere changed. It got even gloomier while Linda's emotions were switching between worry and suspicion after the horse stopped making noises.

All of a sudden dark light shot out of nowhere, barely missing Meteor. He did baulk and accidently pushed Linda into the mud.

Out of the safe cloak of the mist [Y/N] aka Adria came stepping into Linda's view. She had no time to react because another attack flew towards her, but the time was enough for Linda to recognize significant traits of [Y/N].

Afterwards, the video recording broke up.

"Well, your plan did backfire after all, Darko" Jessica mocked, lifting her arms and intertwined her fingers behind her head.

"In what way, Jessica?" Darko lightly snapped in a stern voice.

"She was supposed to go to Nilmers Highland to get her stupid vengeance, not taking a walk through the woods."

Darko had to admit the defeat. Jessica had the point. He knows he can call Adria back anytime he wants, but there was a thought in Darko's mind that convinced him to let [Y/N] roam over Jorvik.

"Perhaps. But that way she'll lead us right to the Druids"

|~Your POV~|

You let out a deep sigh as you paced up and down in the darkness. Faith and hope are starting to leave you and you began to admit your destiny with pain.

After Adria lost Linda in the Hollow Woods she looked for a place to spend the rest of the night and ended up falling asleep in a small cave.

You kinda got used to the coldness surrounding you, but it's still annoying. You tried to push away bad memories and negative thoughts by thinking about the good things.

[H/N] is fine, Linda is a delight, I'm not dead...

...

Actually I'd prefer being dead right now.

Your teeth started to rattle as the temprature dropped again, but this time quite rapidly.

"Goddamnit..." You cursed under your breath.

With the blink of your eye you felt warm and the glow, which still emitted from your body, dimmed.

Confused you looked down your body and saw that you were now wearing a white hoodie.

It was soft and far too big for you, but did it's job anyway. But how did it instantly warm you? And where does it even come from?

Your train of thoughts got interrupted by a hand touching your shoulder.
