INTRO — A DEVIL INDULGES IN THEOPHAGY
Katsuki Bakugou is a shell of who he used to be.
Before, he had a thunderstorm rampaging beneath his honeyed skin, prophesied to summon meteor showers from his calloused palms, and possessing cursed eyes with the color of flesh & bruises. He was an entity of carnage, with his foot kicking at heaven's door.
Now, emotions were a dead language to him. With dull eyes, a blunted tongue, and a gait that no longer shattered the earth with every step, Bakugou had become a vacuum. After all, feelings had made him irrational and blind. They had molded him into a fool stupid enough to be left in the dark, a fool pathetic enough to be kidnapped, and a fool half-dead beneath a villain's foot. It was his emotions that caused Bakugou to be weak, defenseless, and TENDER.
And no one wants a tender hero, Bakugou. No one needs a symbol of vulnerability. The people demand strength, right?
At least that's what his therapist had told him, which was later followed with advice to bury those feelings and hide the rifts in his armor. So for the first time, he did what he was told. He clenched onto his anguish & rage and plummeted it.
But that was good, right? That is what everyone wanted, right? The jaw-snapping beast had finally been muzzled and tamed, right? Right?
Besides, embodying all those feelings all the time was exhausting, and it was a make or break factor for his career. And Katsuki Bakugou does not break, because that meant failure, and failure wasn't an option. Heroes sure as shit don't fail. They most definitely do not bow, they do not tremble, and they do not bleed. Especially not for entitled, vain, too-stubborn-for-their-own-good, hypnotic-eyed brats!
Unless, of course... it was Venus Valisk.
That's different, obviously.
See, Venus Valisk had shoved her hands down Katsuki's throat, as her fingers tickled his haloed spine, to latch onto his pulsating rage. Thunderous and roaring, his wrath squelched between her claws, heavy like a tombstone and alive. Venus Valisk, while armed with resentment and a proclivity for toying with others, unearthed the dormant storm within him. As a being of greed and a tormented soul, she had the audacity to haunt his heart like a poltergeist. The woman had dared to seed a hunger in his stomach, insatiable and monstrous, and then went as far as being the only one able to quell it.
And that wasn't good. In fact, it was fucking terrible because, Venus made him so horrifically tender that the poor boy's skin was falling off his bones.
I will swallow you whole.
