I let out a frustrated sigh when I saw my alarm clock. I woke up at 5 again. Damn. Habits are hard to forget. Groaning, I pushed myself out of my bed and walked towards the bathroom connected to my room. I took a shower and brushed my teeth. Then took out my uniform. A black blazer, White dress shirt, and black pants.
Today was my first day as a second year. And I was looking forward to it. Last year had been pretty hectic after all. I winced and rubbed the top of my head. Memories of teachers repeatedly hitting it because of our actions came back and I'm determined to make this year normal. Looking at the time, It was 5:45. School starts at 7:00. So, I had plenty of time to spare.
I took my phone that was charged. I had prepared last night and I am glad I remembered my dear phone. I walked to the kitchen and wasn't suprised that no one was there. I was the only one who wakes up early in my family. And they were all heavy sleepers. And could probably ignore an earthquake. I chuckled at that thought and started to make breakfast. Bacon and eggs. This was my sister and mom's favorite while dad and I preferred pancakes. When I was done with the bacons and eggs. I started with the banana pancake. Since this was my first day. I'm going to go all out. Footsteps came from the stairs and I saw mom came down. Behind her was dad and Sarah, my little sister. Sarah let out a squeal when she saw the food on the table. "Yay!! Bacon!!" Mom made some weird gestures of gratitude which I ignored. Dad laughed and sat down. I gave him coffee and he made a pleased sound. "Thanks, Dear." I smiled and looked at the female members of the family, only to face palmed when I saw them practically shovel the food to their mouths. Sigh. Why is my family so weird.
"That's cause were awesome." I flinched when Mom suddenly spoke. Did she just? Alright. Suspension of belief. Anything is possible and Everything is normal. Dad patted my shoulder in sympathy. I began to eat and we started to chat. Or more like they did. I was waiting for the doorbell to ring. And it did. I stood up and went to open the door. My bestfriend and partner in crime, Zack, stood there with a goofy smile. "Ya-hoo! Morning, Little red!" and there was that blasted nickname. Little red. He called me that because of my bright red hair. Not the orange kinda type or the brownish red but pure red like an apple. I got it from my dad while I got my blue eyes from my mom. Sarah had blond hair from mom and black eyes from dad.
"Hello there. Zackie boy. You here to pig out again?" I asked teasingly. He sighed dramatically and leaned against the door. "Oh! You know me so well!" Giggling he went in and greeted my family. I looked at the clock. "You might want to hurry! We only have 30 minutes left!"
"That's plenty of time!" I groaned at his answer. I sat down and continued to eat. I was done within 10 minutes. Zack finished within 15 minutes. Damn. That boy sure eats fast considering he just got here. I took my bag and dragged him outside. "We're going now! Bye! See you later!" With that I bolted to school. Zack running beside me. We always do this. Even though our school was close and we practically lived next to each other. While running I saw a limousine pass by us. Only one person drives to school with that. Leon Renato. The school idol. He was not the typical snobbish rich boy. He respected everyone and was kind and was handsome with black hair and green eyes. Many girls had asked him to go out but he always refuses. Saying that he already had someone he loves. Not like but love. If you're asking why I know all of these. It's because Zack is a reliable source of information. I only need to ask him and I already got an answer. It helps that he had a huge circle of friends. He was also popular with his brown hair and dark blue eyes. And I'll be an idiot if I don't atleast take advantage of that. Cue evil laughter.
When we arrived. I led us to our classroom. We had the same classes. Our teachers prefers if they have the two of us in sight. Since they think it helps them prevent us from doing stupid things. Like the one where we skated at the hall with our socks when everyone was busy with the ceremony. That had earned us some painful bruises but we lived. We sat down at the back by the window. It was our usual place in every classroom. Everyone knows it and doesn't sit at here. Something we were grateful for. I placed my bag down and turned to Zack. "Think this year will go well?" He snorted at my question. "I doubt it. With our fantastic minds. We're sure to create trouble again." He's right. So much for normal.
Suddenly the room goes quiet and we looked at the door. Leon was there at the door. No wonder it became silent. His eyes scanned the room and stopped when he saw me. I smiled at him. Wondering why he was looking at me of all people. He smirked and went to the seat beside me. "Can I sit here?" He asked. And I saw no problem. Zack sits in front of me anyway. "Sure! We don't mind." He smiled and gracefully sat down. Is it normal for teenagers to be that graceful? The teacher came. It was Mrs. Morgan! She was one of our favorite teacher since she always give us new ideas for pranks. I waved at her while Zack gave a piece sign. She grinned at us. "Alright little puppies! I'm Emily Morgan. Your classroom adviser! I'll have you introduce yourself one by one and after that I'll give you your locker number! Then we'll talk about boring classroom stuff!"
The class laughed at her. Everyone loves Mrs. Morgan. "Alex can go first! Introduce yourself Red Monkey!" I groaned at her nickname before standing up. "My name's Alexander Falls. You can call me Alex! My age is pretty much obvious. My favorite colors are blue, Black, Red and white! I like listening to music and talking walks. My partner in crime is Zackie boy. Nice to meet you! And you're wrong about one thing. Mrs. Morgan." She raised her brow at this. "About what?" I grinned at her and pointed myself. "I'm a fox not a monkey" The whole class laughed and I considered that to be a success. "Since you say you're a fox then you're Foxy from now on." I gave her a thumbs up and she snorted. "Next is Zack." He stood up and raised his hand then proceeded to turn around and smacked my head. I let out a growl and stood up. "Why you-!" The bastard smirked. "That's payback! You only said one thing about me!" I sighed at him. "What can I do?! Mrs. Morgan will murder me if I say too much! And just hurry up!" He grumbled and crossed his arms before relenting.
"I'm Zack Carter. Call me Zack! I like to eat and sleep! My favorite food is Alex's cooking! I like the color Red and Black! And I'm a weasel! Not a monkey!" He huffed and sat down. I immediately pinched him. He winced and I smirked smugly. "Hmm. I like Monkey better... Whatever. Leon!" Leon stood up and the girls started to whisper. "Nice to meet you. I'm Leon Renato. 17. I like the color red and blue. My hobbies are reading and photography. I hope we get along." The girls squealed and I shared a look with Zack. Yup. This year is sure to be hectic.
After we sorted everything out like our lockers. Rules and etc. I waited for the next teacher. In our school. During the first day. Introductions were made and teachers will go to the rooms rather than us. But tomorrow we'll be the one to move. The next teacher arrived and the process started again. The weird thing I noticed was Leon looking at me from time to time. I ignored it but it gets annoying. I guess I'll just talk to him later.
When lunch came. I quickly took my bag and grabbed Zack and bolted towards the cafeteria. Today there was many dish that we can buy and I made sure to bring a lot of money. Just in case. When we got there. There was no one. Meaning we were the first to make it here! I dragged a complaining Zack to order. "I'll have curry, Lasagna, turkey?( Why is there a turkey at the school?) Melon bread chocolate cake and pudding." The lunch lady looked at me for a long time before getting my order. She must be new here. All the lunch lady knew me. (How they did will be told another time) After getting my food. I waited for Zack. He ordered the same as me and we sat in a corner. People were already here. They looked like ants. With how they lined up and okay stop.
As I was eating. Someone tapped my shoulder. I looked around and saw Leon behind me! I blinked at him "What?" He smiled and leaned down to whisper something to me. "I was hoping if you could come to the gym after school. Alone." Eh? He wants to talk to me? Well. I really don't have any plans... "Sure, why not." He beamed and I swore I saw sparkles. He waved at me and left. I looked at Zack. He looked at me and we said in unison. "What the fudge."
