Yellow

She flicked the light on, the turquoise walls catching the glow of her bright yellow hoodie. She slowly approached the mirror, seeing a face she hated on the dulled surface. Bags under the eyes, freckles everywhere, a round face, spots , dark blonde eyebrows and mellow grey/blue eyes. Her pale skin was flushed in distaste as she cringed, cringing harder at the yellowy teeth, the thin, chapped lips. Her face used to light up rooms with killer grins,now with a single step through a threshold she would cast a stray cloud of darkness. Her neck was itching from the straw feeling ,shoulder length dark blonde hair that sat on her too broad shoulders, stray wisps nearing the curves on her chest.She sighed , removing her shirt to find a black bra and a lot of scratches. She hated herself but had no motivation to improve .All she had was her art 'skills' should anyone ever care to notice. Frustrated, she added deodorant to her semi hairy armpits. The thirteen year old sighed through her nose, annoyed at her ban from razors , scissors, knives and pencil sharpeners. "Why would her mum want to preserve a wasted youth?"Teased her brain. She shrugged in solemn silence, putting on a pair of comfy leggings and a striped shirt for the night. She clambered into bed, her cat purring as she pet her. A small grin tried and failed to make it to her face as she gasped in pain, cursing softly. The cat had bitten her bruised knuckle, causing blood to rise from her freckled skin. Plugging her phone in, she slithered back into bed, her cat sleeping in the small nest of her arms as she browsed YouTube for a video to watch, for a reason to wake up late in the morning, and maybe miss the dreaded doctors appointment to see if she could be referred to cyps for psychological support. She silently prayed to the darkness that a heart attack would take her in her sleep. Her cat jumped off of the bed and sauntered out the door, leaving the girl to the darkness of her mind
