"I told you to go home!" Seiren screamed, stomping her foot in frustration.

"I used to be your best friend seiren!" Yelled Alex, spinning so her back faced her ex-friend. "Dont your trust me!"

"What?! Trust a MURDERER!" Seiren cried as she flayed her hands in exasperation. "There's a fine line between self defense, and homicide. And you crossed it!"

"Well guess what!?" Alex responded turning to face Seiren in anger, "Not all of us are perfect! Not all of us have legens of werewolves at our command Seiren!" Her eyes gleamed with frustration , "Some of us have to get our hands a little bloody sometimes! SOME OF US ARE HUMAN!" On the last word her voice cracked. She turned and as quick as the argument started, it came to a close. The only evidence that it had happened being the tears now rolling down Alexs face as she stormed into the night, and hollow echoes of Seiren's screams--pleas that washed over the landscape until there was only silence. Silence, and Seiren.

~~~
A cold chill trickled down Alex's back pulling awake and back to reality. She sat on her hard, springy bed watching the sun begin to bathe her small bland room in light as she waited for her sweat drenched clothes to dry.
Just a dream.
Ever since the passing of her great grandma Alex's life had been a blur full of homework, school work, gym work, and nightmares. Escpecially the nightmares. But not the common repetitive one sided type of night mare. No Alex's nightmares were all over the place and full of complete and utter randomness. One night she was decapitated by a wolf in the middle of a battlefield, annother she was drowning in a pool of what seemed like mik after being decapitated by (you guessed it) annother wolf, this time in the band room at her school. It seemed that the only thing linking her dreams together was the wolf and the decapitaton.
Actually no, that's not true. Just the other day she had gotten to enjoy a brief moment of relief when her dream was nothing but a normal day at school... sort of.
Alex's dream started off normal enough. She was walking through the halls of cannondale high, her school, with a bright smile on her face and the few rays of sunlight that peeked through the windows warming her pale skin. then out of nowhere, a big, orange circle was zooming in on her face.
PONG!
The basket ball hit Alex right between the eyes, leaving her to trip over her own feet from dizziness. The laughed from other students echoed in her head as she stood up and with a hand across her forehead.
'Well at least SOME things are attracted to you nerd!' It was James, the 'king' of the school and worlds biggest jackass.
'Go away James.' Alex whined trying to shake the black spots dancing across her sight, out of her vision. 'No one wants you here.'
'Well that's where your wrong, nugget, no one wants you here'
'Then I guess I'll just leave.' Alex murmured walking off to go find her friend, leaving the snickers and giggles behind her.
The hall was jam packed full of students ready for yet another boring day. It took about 5 minutes of walking around with a stick up her but till Alex could at least be remotely sure that no one had followed her. Once she reached the spot Alex did a quick scan around her and relaxed a little when she found what she was looking for.
Making her way towards her best friend, Seiren El' Zara, Alex's mind drifted. Her vision became blurry and all of a sudden she was in humanities, sitting at a study wooden desk, listening to the teacher drone on about how great a Chinese emperor was.
'Eventually, after many years of searching,' mr. train went on, 'emperor Qin found a source of immortality. Unfortunately it was mercury and the great king died.'
Alex leaned back in her chair to whisper to Seiren, 'well he wasn't so great if he died.' Seiren, who had been drinking at the time, choked on her water and spat it out in a fountain of wet mist all over the boy next to her.
Oops.
'Well what was that for!?'
Double oops. Mr. train saw.
'I DIDNT DO IT!' Alex chirped.
'Well I know that! You weren't the one spewing water on ya classmates! Seiren, detention!'
'Come on! She started it!' Seiren complained, pointing at Alex accusingly. Alex smirked and mouthed the word 'sorry' before turning back to the front of the classroom.
'I don't want excuses miss El' Zara, your acting like a child.' Sir barked
'Haha! Sucked in!' Alex shot a hand over her mouth trying to cover up her oopsie but it was too late.
'You too miss Lucer, I'll see you bath after school.' Damn!
Then during there detention Seiren turned into a wolf and bit sir's head off.
Well at least that time it wasn't my head. Alex thought as she tied her shoelaces ready for school. She gulped down an up- and-go (those things were truely disgusting in her opinion but her parents refused to buy anything else), packed a small lunch, shouldered her backpack, and walked out the door.
Once Alex reaches the school grounds her mind began to wander to her nightmare. What did it mean? Why a wolf? When would they stop? Why did they come? What was her brain trying to tell her?
By the time she passed the front door to the main hall she was so deep in thought that she didn't even notice the large orange object sailing towards her head.
PONG!
The basket ball hit Alex square between the eyes on her forhead making her fall to the ground. She landed on her backpack with a loud thud. Snickers and laughs echoed in her ears, but one voice was louder than the others.
'Well at least SOME things are attracted to you nerd!' James sneered.
Wait... didn't this... Alex thought,
Crap.
