CHAPTER 1

There was a girl named Linda , with shiny brown hair and sparkling brown eyes . Her mother bought a stupid cat and named her Brinda . Naming a cat similar seemed funny but later on it started to make much more sense because that cat was just like another daughter to her and that's when name similarities stopped being funny .

Brinda became an acceptable part of her family. When Linda was 12 years old she really enjoyed having a pet cat. But then she started noticing that there was a competition going on between the cat and Linda had to compete with that cat to win her mother's attention. Brinda was all over her mother's mind. When she (Linda) was left out as her mom gave Brinda more attention. No one was even bothered to interact with Linda.

Whenever her relatives and friends came over to visit . Her mom would go on and on about Brinda and she never stops talking about that cat. All happened when Brinda was sitting on her mother's lap and Linda serving them all drinks .

Time passed and things became even more extreme . Her mother stopped expressing her love to Linda in any way,shape or form possible. All she heard was her mother talking about that ugly, annoying cat. She called her sweetheart, dear, honey and never missed a chance to tell the cat how much she loved her .

Above all , whenever Linda went to talk to her mother , she would dismiss her and say that she is busy with the cat . Whenever she wanted to go out with her mother , she preferred to stay at home with Brinda . And even if we did go out , Brinda would always join us too . Linda couldn't help but be jealous . She was losing the battle against that cat and she was helpless . At that point she tried every possible way to regain her mother's attention . She gave her gifts and cleaned her room everyday which she(Linda's mom) didn't even notice . Until one day, she(Linda) decided that this situation should not carry on like that. And that she has to take the matter on her own hands.
