The Box

"open it up gally",
"Let's get unpacking"
"wonder what the new greenies gonna be like?"
A cacophony of voices erupted from the darkness I was engulphed in, I didn't know where I was, All I new was that it was some sort of cage, but I didn't have time to think before the doors at the top begin to open and I looked up to see pure confusion, a group of about 4 boys stood over me, all with looks of confusion on their face, each one mumbling something about my appearance,
"gally get her out!" a tall Asian kid says,
"I'm doing it, calm down shank"
Shank? I thought to myself
"hey greenie" the boy they called gally said to me, he lifted me out of the cage and placed me down on the grass, I examined each boy, gally, the one who got me out was tall, short hair, seemed like a hard worker. The Asian kid, had short black hair, Seemed quite friendly. A bald black kid who seemed concerned about my existence and a skinny boy with blonde short wavy hair, he'd smiled at me then gave me a look of I'm sorry, which left me confused.
"Why is there a girl here?" one asks,
"yeah alby tell us?"
"Where's she gonna sleep?"
The questions became too much
"can someone please tell me what's going on!" you find yourself interrupting them,
"ummh Newt take her round the glade, tell her the deal" the bald black kid told him, the blonde boy walked over to me and told me to follow him, he filled me in on everything, on how we'd been sent here without memories and that it's dangerous outside the walls and that we need to work together to survive, he filled me in on the names and gave me a place to stay in somewhere called the homestead. Near the end of the day I had finally remembered my name, Ada,
"Ada" I blurted out
"what?" his strong British accent filling the silence,
"my name, its Ada!" I smiled at him
As the sun fell down he turned to me and said
"welcome to the glade, Ada"
