Blue Eyes

Watch her mind as it spins

between the losses, the ties and the wins.

The fights in her house,

the yelling and the screaming,

the girl knows no meaning.

A blank mind

no thoughts inside,

starting from scratch

a family to patch.

She can't fight no matter how hard she tries,

the confusion lies in her blue eyes.

No paint on the paper,

no life inside.

No relationships to bind,

no friends to find.

A mother who tries,

a father who lies.

Take a step into her room,

music blaring in the background.

She's sitting in the corner

on the messy dirt filled ground.

She stares blankly at the wall

recovering from her downfall.

She can't fight no matter how hard she tries,

the confusion lies inside her blue eyes.

Those blue eyes...

they are mine.
