Better Man - Luke

Luke had always been known as being closed off and cruel. He didn't know how to love and that concerned you.

Normally everyone would try to avoid Luke at school. But you, you saw the good in Luke. You saw that he just needed to be loved. So after school you were playing on cracking his facade by doing something no one would probably ever attempt, unless they had dug their own grave.

You were going to kiss him.

Thats right, just walk up to him and his friends and plant a big sloppy, kiss on his pretty blonde face. It sounded just as weird as it was to be honest but you were confident you could pull off the stunt. You sat in anticipation as you waited for the bell to ring signaling that it was time. 30. 29. 28. I wonder if he will think i'm crazy and tell the whole school about me. You thought to yourself as you bounced your foot up in down trying to make it through the rest of geometry. 23. 22. 21. In fact what if all of his friends think i'm crazy and THEY tell everyone. Thoughts clouded your mind. 15. 14. 13. What if the whole school thinks i'm crazy, then there will be no one TO tell because then everybody will already know! You were on the brink of overthinking things and no matter how convincing your subconscious had sounded trying to get you to back out. This was for the better you vowed to yourself that you were going to make Luke a better man and you had no idea why.

The bell finally rang and now with butterflies in your stomach you went outside to find Luke where he usually was with his friends picking on some intelligent kid. Just as you expected he was outside and he had Calum, Micheal, and Ashton all crowded around him, as they talked down to a kid who was smarter than them. Go figure.

You nervously broke apart the ruckus and tapped the kid on the shoulder signaling for him to leave. Luke and his friends looked just as confused as you were. You felt like you were going to throw up and decided if you were going to back out now would be a good time. But you had already made it this far why give up now. You leaned in a bit. But evidently decided against it and ran. The foolish boys all just stared at you as you flew the scene.

"wait!" you heard a deep voice speak out from behind you. You stopped in your tracks and turned around to see none other that Luke himself, which really didn't surprise you because who else would it be.
"yeah?" you questioned bluntly which was a dumb response because you knew exactly why he stopped you.
"what was that back there? were you going to tell us something?" Luke asked, curiosity laced his voice in different ways. You thought, what is there to lose. As you walked up to him and kissed him all in one swift motion. But you weren't the only fast one he was quick to respond by kissing you back. The kiss lasted for a good 10 seconds then you pulled away.
"I see more in you Luke."
"But I'm horrible"
"no your not. Just give me a chance and I can make you a better man."
