(Reader's view)

Belle and I were innocently walking home after the towns singing moment and of course, we heard it all. when they all walked off I glared at them sending daggers in their backs.

Belle ignored them compared to me, she just kept walking with her nose stuck in her book (Can relate😛)

I ran to her side, pulling the book away from her face with my finger "Didn't you hear them?" I questioned, pointing to the busy townspeople who glanced at us every now and again.

"Of course I heard them, how couldn't I when they sing so loudly and obnoxiously" Belle sidesteps me and continues to read while walking.

I caught back up to her "Are you going to do anything about it? I am so sick and tired of the stares and how they treat father and you!".

"Why do something that I will regret, they are doing no harm and we can deal with the stares" Belle explained giving me a sideways glance.

I was about to say something else but was interrupted by a pig.

"Hello Belle" Gaston purred, Belle briefly looked up from her book to say Bonjour to him before returning to it.

Gaston stepped towards Belle but I quickly got in front of him, smirking "Ahh just in time Piggy, I needed something to punch"

Gaston sneered at me disgusted at my mere existence "Hello Rat, didn't think you would come out today" Gaston and I stared at each other for a while.
Getting bored of the staring and wanting action, I went to push Pig away from us but he dodged me and went over to Belle, stealing her book out of her hands looking at it like it was a weird invention our father made.

Belle sighed, looking over at him with tired eyes "Gaston, may I have my book please" she asked him politely, she went to grab it out of his hands but he moved it.

I moved closer to the two, wanting to grab it when he was occupied.

"How can you read this?, there are no pictures" Gaston moved the book upside down and looked confused trying to read the words on the page.
But his brain was too small to compute it.

"It's called having an imagination Pig, obviously you don't have that and a brain" I answered, crossing my hands and smirking at him again.

he scoffed at me glaring but didn't say anything, he turned back to Belle who was giggling at my comment.
"Belle it's about time you got your head out of those books and got away from the rat you call a sister, she is a bad influence to you" Gaston waved the book in Belle's face and threw it over his shoulder where it landed in a puddle of mud.

Belle and I rushed over to it wanting to save the pages from water damage "and pay attention to more important things" Gaston got in our way of getting the book stopping us in our tracks.
"Like me" he flashed Belle and I one of his 'charming' smile's which was ineffective.

I glared up at him and pushed him out of the way, he landed roughly on the ground his hair a mess. He glared at me more and got up brushing the dirt off and smoothed his hair over.
I lent down and grabbed the book and shook the mud off.
I turned back to Belle and gave it to her with Gaston going on about something.

"The whole town's talking about, it's not right for a woman to read, soon she starts getting ideas and thinking" he explained disgusted, enraged I got toe to toe with him glaring him down.

"How dare you say that about us women! we are so much smarter than the stupid apes you call men! you once said that women shouldn't hunt, yet I did and I get how many more kills than you each season?!" I screamed at him, poking my finger at his chest multiple times.

"Yes but that is different! you aren't a woman if you do men's sport! Anyway, how are you going to get someone to marry you when you act like a man! Women are meant to stay home to cook and raise the kids!" he yelled, slapping my hand away and tried to push me away but I grabbed his hands and twisted them behind his back painfully.

He started squealing like the pig he is "Aaahh!!! Let me go It hurts!" He squealed struggling to get out of my grip.

"You try to touch me again, you are going to be found in the woods mauled, but by no bear or wolf, you hear? Oh and I'm not like most women which means I don't need no man and I can beat your sorry ass any day you hear?" I whispered darkly, sending shivers down his body.

"Yes yes ok! let me go!" Thinking that was enough torment, I let him go and caught up to belle who walked ahead.

Gaston rubbed his sore wrists and glared after me, but my warning did nothing to him, he ran after us and started flirting with Belle again.

"Say what do you think about a walk over to the tavern, and take a look at my trophies" he placed his hand on Belle's back and tried pushing her there but she stopped him by stepping away.

"Maybe next time, anyway I already see enough of (Reader's) trophies from hunting" Belle helped by rubbing Salt to the wound. I saw her glance at me with a smile which I returned.

"We have to get home to help our father, goodbye" Belle waved him goodbye and started walking away but Pig's henchmen started laughing.

"HAHAHA That crazy old moon, he needs all the help he can get" Pig and the henchmen started laughing causing mine and Belle's face to turn red.

"Don't talk about our father that way!" Belle exclaimed, placing her hands on her hips to seem madder.

Gaston quickly corrected himself by telling his henchmen off.

"Our father is not crazy, he's a genius" at her statement, a big boom came from our house making us look up to our house watching steam go through ever crack.

Gaston and his henchmen laughed at us as we both ran home to see if our father is alive.
